Was talking to a mate the other evening and the following came up !
Can't remember the name of the machine but 2-3-1 gave a skill stop on the middle reels for an easy double bars win.

favorite has to be the spectre / kung fu machines (2.40/4.80 token JP)
Any barcode and hit stop for the hidden stop-the-reel.

Yes great games those Spectres, silver bells £2.40 etc. I remember the machine boasted excellent sound effects for its time. The music on the reel skill was Turning Japanese iirc.
Searchlights were a favourite of mine too

The other one was Shogun - Turning Japanese by the Vapours for the Hi-Lo routine and the Reel Skill feature, while the nudge loop was Rhythm is a Mystery by K-Klass.
Of course, you also had this game as well -

first ever proper emptier that i went searching pubs to play was bfm's 'barcode'
surpisingly it was called barcode and was the very first barcode feature type machine
guaranteed £4.80 or £2.40 win every time
other than that i reckon cash on the nile (club machine) was good too

Maygay fight night from memory was good, all buttons lit in order and you tapped exchange button for jackpot when ready and it could do it a few times in succession. Long time ago though!!
