Machines Paying Out Notes

I didn't think this was possible (or allowed?)... but had a dabble on Barcrest's completely original idea "Take It Or Leave It" and won £12. Pressed collect, and it spat out a £10 note and the LCD said "Take note please", and then spat out the remaining £2.

First time I've witnessed such a thing!

Can imagine though amount of fuckup with fruits dispensing notes. I.e getting jammed, potential fake notes coming out 8)

My thoughts exactly!

Was a different kind of notey, white plastic with colour changing LEDs in the to make the feeder glow.

Heh, someone mentioned this elsewhere. To me it makes sense, but hopefully it doesn't have too many teething troubles. I imagine it'll open up a whole new world of 5T0ol3rag3 lol...

Yep!

It's got to make sure it spits out the correct value notes for one thing - unless it only spits out tenners. That'd make sense, far less margin for error then!

How many times are you going to press collect for nothing to come out?
No money, no IOU display, no leg to stand on when you complain.

Hoppers were £125, they get emptied and tooled so some brain puts £250 hoppers in, these get emptied so they put £350 hoppers in, these get emptied so now they pay out notes! Dont these idiots ever learn!

There are a number of manufacturers who are now using note recyclers (as they are called). In fact, don't be surprised to see them everywhere soon - stops hopper starvation and are supposed to be remarkably safe against tooler types.

i can see the plus side, and the negative

also i can see that it could work, or could go wrong..

but, it isnt a good idea.

do they pay one note at a time?
