Balance Of Play

Post by logopolis »

When an area is being properly managed by a few players, it really doesn't need unscrupulous players to just barge in and disrupt things.

Pubs are getting more on top, because unscrupulous players feel the need to visit them too many times a week. Good locations were being managed well as they were not being visited more than twice a week. Landlords and barstaff were fine. The machines were usually ready and playing well. Now its changing for the worse.

Do we really have to visit these good locations nearly every day just to make things dead in the hope that the invaders will clear off and find another area.

aliens and the such are being checked every day by loads of players resulting in them being dead all the time, these cunts are relentless and have no transport or no brains. places are being torched left right and centre and players are willing to force a 70 out when there not even there, u kno im telling the truth here im right end of. ppl putting 120 in just for a 70 thick. ive had to go further afield to find new machines had a 140 off 3 quid next one i found got it under a tenner. ppl forcing them out all the time means there too far under percentage

haaaaa ha haha haha ha hahaha

you cant tell anyone to stay out of your area.

if your too slow its your problem.

no one can call and area theirs and tell others too stay away!

and if you only "manage" your ONE area you need to get out more yourself.

if you want to make anything you HAVE to travel atleast a little bit.

its been like that for a long while to be honest ,,,,,within a few weeks of the 70's appearing profits have soared ,(any half decent player should have put a reasonably fat wedge away in 2009),,,and ,, tooooo many players have come out of retirement lately for a piece of it,,,,you can hardly blame em ,,,,,, , infact between leicester and notts alone i can name 4 players that were doing other things with their lives , but are now back on the scene (one is a sort of relative of mine),,so nothing is safe ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, so you have to do your hits everyday . in the vain hope that the guests find things dead and dont bother coming back. its the nature of the beast.

but because of this , to landlords your creating awareness of your over familiarity of leaving with 70 coins every visit ,,,,,,,,,,,,,, hence more barring's of late for everyone .

cant be helped .

ide say 80% of today's fruits can be played by a nutless monkey with one hand , as long as you have been given the knowledge how. even amazing /pacmans shouldn't present tooo much of a problem to anyone with a bit of skill.

we need more skill based games other than just electrocoins , to send half the recent players back to work/dole queue .
Little discipline = BIG issue

It's hard unfortunately, very hard.

I started off issuing fixed penalty notices to offenders, alas they were not enforceable by law. Most players knew this and the cost of running an office unit on Middlemarch business park, made this a very bad and time consuming idea. Although I did dress up in a uniform, I found this commanded little respect.

The next stage was to set up border patrol. I had patrols just off M6 J2, A444 junction with Binley Road and the A45 Broad Lane Junction. I later introduced one at the top of the A46 when I realised that a proliferation of Leamington players was causing me problems.

Again this was costly, but far more effective. ALL cars passing along the routes were stopped and searched. Officers were told to look for suspicious signs such as supermarket jeans filled with coins, mobile phones with lots of contacts in and green fingers. I was asked to cease operations by West Midlands travel police after the tailbacks were reported as far back as Hilton Park services.

For a short while I employed some soldiers of fortune to 'escort' offenders to the train station or airport, where they'd be put on a train to Spain or a plane to Maine. All that happened was that in my absence, these soldiers would be bribed by the players and I later on found myself in Antartica.

Whilst in Antartica, I had plenty of time to reevaluate the situation. I set up my own business. I distributed this business card to every pub in my home town.

What it comes down to at the end of the day....

People need money, and usually will do anything to get it. So if they are visiting the same spots every day/every other day, but are making profit, they simply won't care, right?

Ha! Another classic example of lying happened a few years back when I rang a mate, actually colleague or associate sounds better, (Mates don't lie to each other) and asked him if he'd visited the machine in the train station cafe. "No haven't touched it mate, let me know how you get on wit...

<<BING BONG!>>

"Attention Please, the train approaching platform 3 is the 4:48 National Rail service to....."

I just don't see the need for people to lie to each other, and when people stitch me up in this way it just stops me ever doing them favours. Also nobody has the right to control where other people play.

What a load of cobblers.

As long as you can time travel there is no need for expensive and dangerous teleportation devices.
