Not happy here, we usually escape somewhat in The Midlands, but not today. By midday the news said that there had been six inches of snow at the Ricoh. Originally I was going on a full run, with added checking added in for added annoyance at getting snarled up in traffic, queuing at a turn off for fifteen minutes, parking up, walking in, seeing two DonDs...not good DonDs and having to leave, slipping over, getting funny looks, getting snarled up in another slip raod back onto the road for fifteen minutes, repeat ad head explosion.
Yeah that was my original plan with like a few rock solid playables such as Deluxe classic Bar X and Monopoly Easy Street on Triple 777 thrown into the mix for a guaranteed raise.
Anyhow I thought I'd leave it an hour, so fixed a leaky toilet and read Peter Kay's new book, Saturday Night Peter for a bit.
The reviews were mixed on Amazon but so far it's a pleasant enough read. Anyway got a bit immersed on that which was when I realised it was 12:00 not 10:30! D'oh. Snow had worsened so I made the call to just do city centre.
Found a few bits good for a raise, then popped into the y'know. Thingy hadn't come up from y'know where to play the thing, perhaps he'd found a HOOF or got stuck in the snow himself.
Anyway it was also good for a raise as was the y'know and surprised to see the things off on this and that and one was holding but thingy got the £15 game and it was moody after so it cost £20 for a £35 thing.
All said and done I tripped on two very rusty nails, continued in a three letter place that peace love and unity wanted to get into....
Now I'm scoffing chocolate and Bowmore single malt whisky in an attempt to calm my nerves. Boy were they rusty nails, about to hit the poker tables when I'm sufficiently relaxed.
Was almost a 2'er up, left with half a jackpot. By then roads were so skiddy, bar a possible services run, I decided to call it a day and just have tea at a reasonable time.
Obviously Cambridge etc is unsnowy with that furious raise over there.
Seems like C, K, Eddie, M etc repelled by snow.
If they do make it over, all playables are dead (M will get it all from the third chip telephone no doubt) but Casino Deluxe Bar X should have value.
We'll see what tomorrow brings.....-1 icy blasts at midday and more snow no doubt. Gash.....looks like it's going down the country.....

Looks like tomorrow could be a write off down here too, the one pain about this job is no pay when you cant get out!
