Just say you know the defendant/witnesses, or you have a time spend crim record thats been wiped from thier data base... Wont have to do it then..
As for your original question, I think you have to show proof of earnings, even on a self employed level, as pro playing is, to claim expences for loss of earnings matey...

Yep, you're stuffed if you're playing full time. It's not a job, it ain't taxable, and in their eyes you should be claiming JSA - in which case you might wanna sign on shortly before your Jury Service begins so that you've at least got a case to be paid something.
The upside of Jury Service - as I found - is that you end up going to a town you wouldn't normally spend much time in and playing after you've been discharged for the day. Or if it's the Old Bailey - you've got loads of backstreet boozers to raid.

Yep did mine in Croydon last year whikst a lucrative SWP game was out and it gave me some fresh machines to play as well as an inordinate amount of time to spend drinking during the day- those judges will adjourn at pretty much anything.
Not sure that there are many backstreet boozers ro raid round OB though Nixxy- certainly not ones that have retained their fruits or even their pub status

Did mine in Bradford, probably worse than being sat in a cell, as you can't move anywhere or say anything, bad if you've got hangover butterflies.

They don't pay you if you haven't got a proper job. If you are not receiving state benefits you would just be considered of independent means and they would give you nothing.
I thought most of you fruity boys were on JSA anyway

No, but it is a good idea to be though as it must look dodgy as I have not worked and have being off the face of the earth to them for some time.
But dont want to take, although I do put alot of tax in by buying beer and petrol on the masses!!
Also I put alot of money to charity each year

Ain't there a rule where by if you have so many thousands in the bank that you are not allowed to claim JSA? Sounds like you can't win.

I don't think they will give you any money, but will pay your stamp.
