Why on earth do people take things so personal on here ? Who cares what someone says or doesn't say.. it doesn't affect you in real life. It's just a forum. Lie your rump off all you want - tell the world you are the best player with the hottest skills if it helps you get through your existence.

ive said this a thousand times , i can hit cluedos blindfolded whilst sleeping but this game isn't about skills , its not really about knowledge either , as somebody always knows that little bit more than you , were all part of the chain ,( so unless you discover an empty yourself and know how to look after it , and not blab/take the piss) accept where you are.

the only thing that makes a great player is discipline , discipline , discipline .

we all fall by the wayside now and again , by rowing £200 through something we know we shouldn't but if kept to a minimum , that is where the secret lies.

im sorry to use mark as an example , but the man has more talent , skills , info , etc than most of us will ever have , ,,,,,, but lack of discipline flushed it down the casino .
(back on his feet now though).

there were other top boy slotters at the xmas do ,,,,,,,,,, but when asked to play cards back at martins ,,,,, couldn't afford it.

doesn't matter how much you know or how sick jedi master your skills are ,,,,,,, without discipline the rest aint worth shit.






as for the future ,,,,,, who honestly knows ,?
right now as it is , were all having to put in the extra mileage /time/effort. and the things we are playing now will all be gone in 6 months..


but that's not to say all is lost ,,,,,, there maybe lots more playables in the future , there may not.


will the 70pot make a difference ? ,,,,,, will they stick to the same programmes ? will they usher in randoms? ...... are we all doing something else with our lives this time next year ?


i dont know , but everybody wasting their time slagging each other off on here is beyond me , its getting you no further in life





and another thing , ive no prejudice to the younger players on here ,,,,,,,,, ive met crosby and he's sound , and im sure anfield is a nice guy in real life too .

but i will say this to them , young and full of optimism you may be ,,,,,,,,,

but i would sooner be the tortoise to your hare.

There's far too many paragraphs in this post, but even so it's probably the soundest post on here that I've read lately.

Discipline is the key to making money. If every player on here didn't slot junk/new programs even tho they know it is/section 16's/roulette/take coke then they'd all have a lot more money. Mental strength is a very under rated facet of playing machines.

There's another big key to making money, and it's not skills/knowledge/whatever, but I'm not going to divulge this on here as every single player I've ever met (with the possible exception of 1) doesn't have even the first idea of this skill.

CLEUDO + CLONES + WINSTOPPER (and unchipped p5 etc. included here) they will ALL DISAPPEAR, THEY WILL NOT GO FROM ONE PLACE TO ANOTHER, SO DONT BE LIKE OH THEY TURN UP SOMEWHERE ELSE NO YOUR WRONG THEY GET REPLACED WITH SHIT NEW DOND.

I'm quite sick of people STILL talking about those machines when they are LONG LONG gone in the most part.

Yep, and most of them are on such bad programs they are worthless anyway...get with the times guys.

As for the future, well how many times have people said it's gonna be over in 6 months (eg end of JPM's/aces, vivids) but it never has been so far. My mantra is take each day as it comes, and if the decision comes that I need to do something else, then I will do. I've got a degree and I'm intelligent enough to hold down a job in the city if need be, but at the moment I choose to play machines out of my own free will.

I won't be deluded enough to carry on playing if it does turn shit.

As for fire pubs, well I actually don't mind going in them. But I make an effort with the locals/staff big time - for example I banked an HLS in a scummy pub the size of a shoebox full of drunks recently, they gave me the £30 short pay out of the till, and the local drunks asked me to sit with them for a drink!! They couldn't have been nicer to me. But if you bowl in with your burberry cap, ripped jeans and trainers on and buy 1/2 a coke then good luck to you, you are going to get aggro.

Yesterday the most heat I got was actually in a 2 for 1 pub where I taxi'd the GA to MS from 8 win spins, some cocky local and an off duty barmaid told me I had scammed the machine and switched them off after I collected the bank (they also said that I only bought 1/2 a coke which I corrected them on as I told them they are profiteering w@nkers only selling 16oz glasses for £1.66) - I went schitz and told them to call the police, check the cameras, empty my pockets, everything. I called him a fcuking cock to his face, that he was jealous as he had a minimum wage job, and he's started 2009 in a very bad way lol...the manageress heard all this and came over, she apologised to me and told him to shut his mouth lol. You have to fight fire with fire in some places, it's the playground bully mentality.

If you can keep convincing yourself that there is money to be made in fruit machines then sure enough you'll believe that there is, even if the era is dieing before your very own eyes. I ask my self why have so many top boy players left the game? they all say the same thing - theres no money left to be had, you might say well yes they all started from the same spot but starting in a different era is a completly different ball game.

What the heck I dont play fruit machines unless its on the odd occasion but I like coming here because I AM part of the furniture and the banter is good so I won't knock anyone whos out doing there rounds on the fruits because this is your time, this is your forum and you gotta make the best of your abilities.

Think what he was trying to put accross is life as a whole is valuable, and there are more forfilling ways to making a living than standing infront of a fruit day in day out, with trousers round your ancles thru coinage, green mouldy fingers thru contstantly counting winnings/loss, and travelling 40 miles up the m1 to services just to make a few quid....
