The days of making 10k have been and gone ages ago. for those of you are here that were playing the same machines and i get the impression at the moment only 2 of you that i can make out could probably back me up. im not going to argue laugh all you want im giving you the the facts.Drpepper wrote:To say you make £10000 a week is laughable.
If you actually did make that the last thing you'd actually do is tell a public forum who can work out where you live quite easily and come and get some.
So how much do YOU make a week playing?

"in my case it seems to f**k me over"
On line poker is more than likely rigged. When you play on line poker, you are paying for entertainment, not profit. You pay via rake and on line shills. You need to play when there are lots of human opponents, preferably fishy and you need a good rakeback deal. You need to keep records and using a poker tracker style program is a very good idea. That way you can see if you're a bad player and fix leaks or if you're just unlucky. I leak and I'm unlucky. I'm shit at poker AND I'm unlucky. How unlucky is that and it's rigged. Play a six handed £5 thunder on William Hill at 3am and see how many coin flips you hit when the blinds get big!!! Actually see how often your late position AK holds up against the big blinds A7.
The only things that aren't rigged are section 34 AWPs. A professional on line poker player was moaning that 'Pie Factory was rigged' the other day. He kept boring me to tears with his bad beat tales about constantly losing on 2s and 11s when gambling to £3. I told him to run Fruit Tracker Pro v2.3 and he'd see it's just variance and that he's on tilt, leaking and playing real bad. He left his tin foil hat on, ran out of Nobles and got struck down by lightning. I didn't get to see that as I was using Excel on the PC emulator that was running on Vamp it Up. Apparently someone has got a working version of Photoshop Pro on a Tuppenny Nudger. Fascinating. http://WWW.PCemu.com - so you can use your favourite computer programs in your local arcade.

Interesting thread this one.
I personally don't play every day, I used to play most days after work and would make a fair bit. Enough so I would hardly ever have to pay for going out. Unfortuantely never really had access to the majority of the knowledge going back a few years. So missed out
I now just usually play sat and sunday mornings. Would say i prob make around £300 a weekend but that is foing around three towns. Not many other players round my neck of woods so stuff is usually fairly lively (touch wood)
Much prefer poker our days ! ! !

Do you think thats because unfortunately you dont need any kind of academic ability to press auto start.Streakypoos wrote:You'd be surprised Jeff. I've met quite a few 'players' who have a job to string a coherent sentence together, but are pretty astute when it comes to playing fruit machines for profit.
stop the swag.
I think in order to play machines full time/or at least to a good level, you have to be reasonably clever.
Some people I know who have been playing machines for years STILL can't grasp the most simple things. Take Golden Games for example. Lots of different pots to figure out but quite easy to do so. Yet I still see the same people pumping them silly time and time again. Why? Because they don't have the natural fruit machine savvy.
You can't explain to a non player how to play a VIU for example because they just don't understand or can't and never will be able to grasp the most basic of concepts.
Its this basic knowledge and general manufacture knowledge that is so important. Sometimes, you see 'players' who are shit hot on some machines but don't have a clue on others.
If you can combine all round knowledge, have good discipline and are prepared to travel most of the days in the week then £1k profit a week is easily made. However if your like me and like to do the occasional S16 pumping, drink silly amounts of lager and just live life how you want, then that 'clean' profit is more like £200 a week. But I still say, it's the hardest working, longest working hours, do your head in job there is to have!!!!
We've all got annoyed, had horrific days where nothing just nothing goes for you, but at the end of the day, I am not stupid. If I was losing regular and consistent I wouldn't carry on and having met and chatted to a few other people on here who I consider good players, neither are they.
Feel free to correct any spelling mistakes to make me look stupid!!!!
