'Spectre' seem to be getting big in the midlands,
who, i believe, are the new Crown-Leisure,
not sure if its a takeover or just new name?

There is an excellent little firm round our way called Armitage Leisure. I worked in a few pubs that had thier machines and always recommend tem to licencees, for a number of reasons
1)If you request a machine and its possible for you to have it, you will get it - lets see leisure link or gamestec do that!
2) I have seen engineers arrive within 20 minutes of being called out
3) When a new machine comes in it is clean and the machine has been serviced, all dead bulbs replaced etc. Many years ago i stood in between 2 Bass pubs, across the road from each, and watched an engineer form a large firm (i think leisure link) simply swap the machines from 1 pub to the other!
I always said, it doesnt matter what the business, small local firms will see right long before nationals.

Leisure Link did that with us. They only supply 2 pubs in our town - across the road from each other. Switched a Rocket Money and a Juggling Jackpots around! :xMany years ago i stood in between 2 Bass pubs, across the road from each, and watched an engineer form a large firm (i think leisure link) simply swap the machines from 1 pub to the other!
Quite a good point actually.JG wrote:It's fair enough. At the end of the day it's a PUB. Not a CASINO. Really we should be talking 10p play, £5 jackpot.
They'd definitely get played a lot more. Id go to 20p £8 though, still a chance to pay a decent wedge of a night in the pub with a wee JP repeater, yet not big and bad enough to take £25 off you in less than 3 minutes.

Absolutely agree.betchrider wrote:All i can say to LL and all its staff is GOODBYE and GOOD RIDDANCE YOU SET OF WANKERS and i cant wait till you go bust
No one will miss them with their virtual monopoly filling every pub with some box full of shite with Noel Bloody Edmund's smug bearded face on the front!
My local (village) pub has just switched to LL, and they have put in a jukebox and a brand new Itbox, but NO AWP.
Even though there is a license for one!
