Nope. It was actually in Northern Ireland, where for some reason which I still don't know, all AWPs paid out in cash - despite the sign on the glass stating otherwise.gambogaz1 wrote:1999-2000 means only places that still payed tokens was arcades. I'll say it was a lower JP in a hotel/B & B or something ?Cardinal Richelieu wrote:Barcrest 20p, 8 quid jackpot Crystal Maze about 7-8 years ago
Jackpot + another 8 repeats = 72 quid... no tokens though.
Can anyone tell me why?
Most repeats...

Has it ever been emulated?Streakypoos wrote:That's fantastic!
Crazy stuff. I've seen a full up £10 Crystal Maze pay out around £100 profit to a barman and then start spitting 20ps. There may have been a £40 top, also lots of crazy jackpots off treasure chest, robot, that's six crystals 1-2-3-4-5-6 type boards. It just kept paying and paying.
On the flipside it once took £28 to get a board.
There were 2 different versions of this machine - did the seemingly much rarer one have a sort-of cheat where you could keep hitting the skill stop until you got a superish skillstop?
Never got the hang of the robot on the other version. Lucky to get 2 quid.
The 5 note version could be equally as parsimonious with its boardage.
