Everyone that is boasting about thier wins, I can't see how reliable that is for a full time income. Or maybe youre aspirations are that low that you seem to think you are cool for making money in this way? I don't know

I think it is cool.
If you have a passion and a drive for what you want to achieve, and maybe get lucky along the way, then good luck to everyone.

I enjoy what I do and I can make a living out of a leisure pursuit,
like a sportsman for example, although we are probably on Football League Div3/Conference wages!

It is not that dificult to achieve where you want to be,
you need to rid yourself of your demons (thats the hard part, but easy once you have rid yourself of them)

The thing is that to walk in to a pub and come out 40 quid up, im happy with, but for some ppl that push it there the ones that loose time after time.you have to have discipline, s16's are shite, only play machines you kno, and set urself limits, its better to take a 50 quid hit like a man then to chase ur loses and have a 300 pound hit. its taken me 10's of thousands to be a good player and now im getting the rewards the key is dont be gready and timming is the key

Thing is, everyone here is addicted, if you say you're not you're lying to yourself. Even if you put £3 in a leave the machine or force £50 through, you are addicted. If you make £300 everyday, if you lose £300 every week, you're addicted. You can tell when to walk away but you can't stay away, you have to try a few quid. You/I play them all the time, there's one word for that.

All these members who claim to make a packet of the Extreme cheats ,other MTRs, it won't last forever, in a year or 2 all boasting of huge wins will have a huge problem. Something else will come out, or at least you/I hope so.

I'm addicted to cigs, I smoke them all the time.

I'm addicted to fruit machines, but I have enough will power to just go once a week.

Given the choice, I would chuck the cigs in first no questions asked.

I wouldn't say i have an uncontrollable compulsion to play fruit machines. If i did then i wouldn't have been able to go months without a job, nor would i be sitting here on £1k that i've hoarded up - it would be all gone surely? I'd just be constantly out looking to whittle my money away until its gone? I'd say i've got a controlled compulsion to gamble. What does that make me?
