Some people want to do this for fun, some to occupy themselves and make some cash, some to pay for being permenantly drunk.
Some of us, me included want to do it to make some serious cash, and the more people that get told and shown and then start playing themselves the harder is becomes.
Call it greed if you like, but for me its about having something to show for the last 11 years and hopefully a comfortable future. Otherwise I've wasted some of the best years of my life. Obviously I didn't start doing this with that mindset, but now that Im here I'm gonna make the most while I can.
I can understand the young guys laid back attitudes to it. They enjoy the cash, probably enjoy the actual playing and definitely the beer and strippers, but...
If Pickareels attitude is the same as mine, I know why he's annoyed, and surely the more experienced/serious players here can relate to this??!
If you wanna make serious money, and think theres always room for more players, think about this first:
If machines never end, and pubs always have them there will still be players, but there will be 100+ in every major city, and all they need to make is £20 a day to pay for their cheap drink while the dole pays the bills. It'll boil down to the lowest acceptable level of income(common denomenator).
If your just in it for a drink and a laugh, fine, your equally entitled, but your opinions no more valid than someone who's serious about it.

I am an experienced serious player who has made, by some standards, very good money! I repeat again that i was having a drink, with a friend, in my own town! Jesus! People have done worse im sure! Who knows we might do a red gaming in a pub next week or do i have to ask permission?

The red gaming in my local is ready for doors tomorrow! Please can i do it? I will be on my own but what do i do if the feared "rookie" walks in? With that name he is a major threat so if im £50 into it i will leave it in the hope it will still be ready on monday when i next go there! Hopefully everyone on here will leave every machine when there getting stared at for fear of whos watching!

you have to act really pissed off and maybe even rock the machine a bit or call it some really harsh names and pull weird faces.

you say you were having a drink blah blah blah etc etc etc......but look how the guy has re-acted,he wants to buy a panther or clone to pratice hitting the wild on?he says is it time to quit his job and told a whole forum who gave him the heads up????come on mate is this guy really trustworthy?and also if he does go around burning machines who's units will he be doing???either yours or another players,and about scotts hits around ipswich,,if youre that much of a good bloke then you couldve quite easily turn the money down and not played his machines???ive a few more things to say but ill hold my tongue for now.

just thought I'd say thanks for the warm welcome to the forum ! I'm sure each of you will understand who this is meant for genuinely and who should take it as sarcasm.
Have to say from some of the posts on here I am truly amazed that certain people can seemingly be born with the ability to play fruit machines and suss out cheats, tricks etc. without being told anything by anyone else, that truly is a gift !! Also harsh if they have never told a mate that a machine isn't worth playing or pointed them in the right direction a little on occasion.
I joined this site because I have played machines for years with varying degrees of success and thought it might be interesting. I also should point out to the guy a couple of posts back who is concerned 'cos I was talking about giving up my job to play full time .... that was a joke !! read the post your referring to again, hopefully you will understand second time round ! It's odd that you seem so fearful of one person knowing a little about one machine.
Anyway all I was saying originally is that I am impressed with Glendales skill, I would love to be able to replicate it but am well aware that I can't, it's just impressive to watch.

The first thing your rookie mate did was head to an alien in his local and get banned!! That pub is now probably on top. Yes it's one hit and in the grand scheme of things means fuck all. But if that's everyones attitude then we're all fucked.
Obviously I can't guarantee it, but a more wise player wouldn't have got banned. A non player with a bit of nouse did. That's the point.
