The mod team on here deserve better, more powers and deffo banning ability....

To be honest in my modding experience mods can never ban. That's an admin right only.
It's as well really, as some "mod fights" would escalate into the removal of half the membership!
Admins generally own the site, and therefore have the last word... mods are usually just friends, internet acquaintances or just keen members. They can sometimes have their own agendas, and may not always have the best interests of the site uppermost in their minds!

Sorry about all that deletion and moderatory sillyness back there. It's just that like driving test examiners who have to fail 34% of candidates, in a similar vein, I have to delete 7.4 postings a week and remind everyone that I am a moderator at least once a year.

Steven that's not actually true, so don't say you know a well connected driving test examiner and we don't need any PMs either!
