Jeff i completely agree with you - this is the crux of the matter.

MACHINES ARE NO LONGER FUN. GAMBLING IS NO LONGER FUN. GAMBLING FROM 50P TO £1 TO £1.20 TO £1.60 TO £2.00 ON £35JP M/Cs IS NOT FUN. NEITHER IS SITTING IN FRONT OF A VIDEO SCREEN OCCASIONALLY PRESSING "START" OR JUST PRESSING AUTOPLAY AND TWIDDLING YOUR THUMBS.

...and thats my 2 cents.

cant agree more. the industry has put itself to the sword with its own greed ,churning out shit clones ,lack of fun to play machines and dull programming. bring back the days when good numbers were reliable (11 and 2 were almost nailed on afew years ago) bring back natural jpts ,bring back fun ,bring back machines that give lots of repeats ,if only on a fiver this would still be ok. re release old classics ,payrise rollercoaster ,live wire ,force 5,psycho cash beast, the gambler, screen play, crystalmaze, win again ,7 heaven, money talks etc. sledgehammer all clones now before its too late, ban false backers and "cash full" lights (what a cynical little scam that is) 7 pound boards ,although only 14 starts, these days do not encourage a mug punter ,especially when it goes tits up on a 2 second press. bring back more trail games and proper feature boards , maybe the way forward is a return to the old school ,20p play smaller more frequent jpts 2-3 quid boards with numbers that dont rip your heart out on a regular basis ,no dodgy blocking . give the average punter some value for his beer change ,and maybe, just maybe he isnt already totally dissilusioned with fruits that he might gradually come back to play. thus leisure link ,gamestec etc. may not lose half their share value and see their tight arsed operation fold up in front of their faces.
