I was in M/cr town centre on Friday walking down a street which I hardly bother with and what do I see....a VIU!!

It was my girlfriend who saw it to be honest, had to have a dabble and £5 in for £26 ain't too bad (had to hurry as we had the kids with us and she was waiting outside in the rain lol). The odd £1 was a check of PAR btw.

3 questions though....1) How long has it been there? 2) How long will it be there for? and 3) How many players know its there and do their best to stay on top of it?

If that Q was aimed at me Betch then it was a Vamp. Its on Oldham Street (Piccadilly end), could have been the Dry Bar but I'm not too sure. As its only an old £25jp I can't see giving the location away would upset anyone.

Did you just say you went into a pub just to play a Vamp whilst your girlfriend and kids stood outside in the rain ?

Yes I did Harry and of course it would have been rude not to.

Seriously though, she spotted it and she suggested going on it for some 'free' money. She did go in a couple of shops whilst I was in the pub AND I left half a pint!

VIU and clones was my (and the g/f's) eqivalent of dials and P5's and the only reason I have been able to live the last 18 months that I've been out of work is due to the thousands I saved up thanks to these machines (I think we all made copious amounts from these tbh).

Just clarifying, not justifying. I'd swap any machine of the last five years for one of these everyday of the week, including vortex etc.

Great machine, great era, great find.........

you also confirmed its not as picker,
and you can rest assured its on a few peoples visiting list now eh?

, its a good job thats the first pub I've entered in nearly 8 months to specifically play a machine!

Will be there again though, but when.....erm, no I can't expose that info.

There is one in the Quen Victoria pub at Pontins in Prestatyn, had ago for old times sake whilst I was there with my nephwes last week. It was flying offering add again on the blue board but didnt have any time at all to force it out. Went for a cheeky red super hold red box boost on £7 cash but only went for ten, had jp as most of you will have from doing that a few times.
