just found the foreign coin i got paid with, it says republik osterreich, 1 schilling.

on closer examination the coin i mentioned is about 0.5mm saller than a 50p coin so i guess it wont work

i do seem to remember someon once saying there was some obscure African country that used to mint coins in the UK, and one of them was the same shape as a UK coin

Austrian schillings

My mate bought 5000K's worth a few years ago.

The coin mech manufacturer lost their contracts and went bust as a result.

Cypriot 50's are actually lighter than uk one's so very rarely work anyway
