token mechs were done with strimmer wire also.

some very old mars mechs such as on bar-x,big7 and lucky arrows (an old jpm lowtech in a short cabinet)amongst others could be done with an old 50p selotaped to a piece of cotton .....depth of insertion was critical...too far and the rig would be lost to the cashbox thus alerting the arcade (when they emptied).

i knew i guy who got away with this for years ,it was'nt until he started coming twice a week that he got sussed.
