It's bad, i've had my details passed to gamestec and a numberplate taken recently too. Pisses you off, a few years ago it was no trouble....now i need to take my socks off and use my toes to count the number of pubs i'm barred from. Thankfully i've not had the threat of violence yet, but there isn't really any way of dampening the heat now. Soft drink or expensive drink....food or no food....whatever happens, if you take 1 or 2 pots out, they think you are a crook. Bad times. :x

I'm gettin sick of it now, if you win you lose, if you lose you lose. Its that simple.

I've got about 2 or 3 pubs where its accepted that I play the machines, the landlord/landladys are fine with me and in fact know what I do. They know I'm not a criminal and they know I dont do anything against the law. In fact if the machines had money they even let me know!!

Some pubs in my local town never say anything directly to me but I know for a fact they have enquired to other people who they've seen me in conversation with in their pub. I guess thats fair enough.

But the rest........................................FIRE........................To the point that I cant even be bothered to go out more than twice a week now.

In the olden days you could still wander into arcades and find a few playables but unless you fancy takin on bar x's and b3's then its a no go.

And of course I'm sick of checkin pubs only to find dond this and dond that!! Its gotta be about 10-1 ratio now of findin a playable. If not worse, thank god the world cup is on soon it will ease my boredeom for a while and what little playables I have 'may' take a few more £'s. Plus of course I can bet everyday on the games!!!

Wetherspoons have been ringing round their other pubs now with player descriptions.

I'm just glad I get on very well with those that matter, and buy them a drink when I do ok onthe fruit or quiz.

An assistant manager in London said Southfields Wetherspoons had passed on my description a few days before. I only checked the fruits in there and they had crap. I didn't even stop to play the quiz. Bloody hell!

they got hit badly on cops and robbers, and have upped their "security"

you'll find they might have their cameras pointing at the machines more now too..

There is only ONE thing that barstaff and/or landlords need, and that, is education.

At the end of the day, a fruits gotta take money before it can pay money, if it hasnt took enough to pay then it wont, simple as, it really is that simple, and the sooner places start to understand this mind numbingly easy concept then the better it will be for all concerned.

The worst part being that its probable that the reason for this heat is because of the scumbag bastards known as toolers, their theiving pikey ways give anyone and everyone with a genuine interest in machines a bad name for no reason.

Toolers steal money, others win it, its NOT the same thing, players aint robbers.

Will these misguided pub workers ever learn? probably not, you can always hope though.

Its not just tooling, in fact that seems to go unnoticed, its the bitter staff who are on a shit wage and can't wait to liven up their dull existence by banning people.

one thing that causes the heat is when a pub regular wins, be it a £5 or a £10 or £50 or £100, they'll change it up at the bar,

people who arent regulars will buy one drink, play the machines with a large supply of pound coins, then disappear without anyone noticing... or win fuckloads, get a 'important phonecall' 'needs to catch a bus' 'oh is that thne time' 'only put a few quid in and didnt know what was happening'

all it takes is one landlord, one in a town with a chip on his shoulder, and who rings round when they see you, then the others will feel obliged to do the same, it creates a problem, as now everyone is overly suspicious

the secrecy slone will arouse suspicion...

and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it...

You also have to take into account the sheer number of players nowadays compared to say, even ten years ago.

You could go months without seeing anyone else, now I must see at least three every day.

Is this a wind up re Cops & Robbers?

If not, its funny you should say that about Wetherspoons.

I was in both of the ones in Worthing yesterday and the machines have been moved right nr to the bar, plus covered by extenstive cctv.

The problem with spoons is the majority of the players do not purchase anything at the bar. They simply walk in off the street head straight for the machine and clean them out.

I am suprised Spoons let it go on for so long.
