Betting Shop Terminals
Was in Ladbrokes and they had a power cut, a guy was in mid spin and terminal goes off. He wants his money back. Is told to come back later so they can open the machine to check. Cashier said he lost as the win / loose is decided when you press the button then displayed on screen in the form of the ball falling into the track.

you can tell exactly what number you have as soon as the wheel is displayed..
the start button is pressed and the result is determined, the machine loads up the graphic to get to the chosen number,
sometimes the machine stutters at this point...
on a more positive note:
the turbo button when these first came out removed the spin, showed the result instantly.. took 0.1 seconds to gamble AS MUCH AS YOU WANTED TO GAMBLE, the table cap was £500 and the max win was £10,000.
things have changed over the years, and limits have been reduced to an "acceptable" level, there are delays on rebets, table limits were reduced and the turbo button removed..
i would say that if they were serious about stopping problem gambling and improving the system, they should reduce the stakes to 1/10 of what they are.. 1p chips, £10 max bet, £50 max prize... i would play them every day if they restricted them to this. id pay them to site one in my house.

Roulette is a CASINO game & should be restricted to casinos. This would help prevent a lot of problem gambling. Roulette cannot be beaten overall random or otherwise.
