New Member, But Had To Write This

Hi...

I visited this forum last night for the first time as a guest and was going to join up tonight to join in the discussion, an experience I had today in Liverpool made me come straight home and write this.

Its probably best if I don't mention exactly where it is but theres an arcade in Liverpool I went to today. Only been ther eonce before and that was years ago.

Its called Goldrush and there was as smell of smoke when I went in, but not sure whether it was of the tobacco variety or something more. There was a man there and a woman on the change office. Both were smoking and so was a customer.

I said with the ban you shouldnt be lighting up really. I couldnt believe it the woman came out of the change office because I was speaking to the man and she said somehting about I shouldn't tell her effing husband what to do and she deliberately blew her smoke into my face.

Well it was the weirdest arcade ever with candles burning everywhere and incense burning on a shelf, so that and the ciggy smoke it was horrible.

Do any of you know the place, as I said, it's in Liverpool and the sign said Goldrush. The woman who had a badge on saying her name's Marj I think (someone on here might know them or been to the arcade) was so rude it was unbelievable. I said I would report them and that I was a member of Fruitchat on the internet (a white lie I suppose) and I would tell othe rplayers. She said that the arcade was known on this forum and that she was a member I think she said.

Has anybody been there or know them?

The way you spoke to myself and my wife (Marjorie) was completely out of order. Dont come on here and start slating my centre. The members on this forum have a lot of respect for my wife and I as you will discover, so clear off!

And so what if we want to smoke. Its our centre and we'll do as we like. You're just crying cos Vamp It Up didn't pay out.

Excuse me, the image used in that publication does not reflect the current machines at Goldrush. My wife (Marjorie) has a collection of fruit machine related literature and images and the photo of IJ3 was taken from her archive. This was done as it is one of the better quality images and that's what our signmaker said he needed.

To the untrained eye or average fruit machine addict (which of course are the mainstay of our business), the advert looks very modern and welcoming.

Takings are up at Goldrush for the last quarter (which can't be said for some centres in the area) so we must be doing something right.
