In which case, stay within the law and do not play machines with >£5 Jackpots until you're legally old enough.

Even then, wait until you're financially stable enough that you can afford a bit of 'play' money, and then you've got licence to experiment. Big streaks sound all well and good, but you've gotta have the capital to be able to play for them.
This machine may at times offer a choice where the player has every chance of bankruptcy

Lol never really thought about it before but when I was 16 the jump up was to £15jp from £5ers.

Now its right up to £35 thats a big leap.
Forget about the footy what about the fruity youth systems.

Was in my local arcade the other day, just thinking every machine in front of us could be so harsh for a board, just thought if I was a 15 year old with my tenner pocket money how gutted I would be putting it into a 10p Yabba with one board which killed me!

Same with £5 reds they can take stupid amounts for boards.

I kinda guessed this when I first posted.

Don't worry mate, you are not the first and i'm certain you won't be the last.

Best advice? don't even bother getting involved with m/c's. Just leave them alone.

I personally started playing about the same time as you and my suggestion....

DON'T BOTHER!

I've been making good money recently and had some good laughs doing so, BUT! Fruit playing, in my opinion, is NOT a long term prospect and will never be socially accepted as a source of income (least of all by women). Worst of all, it has a habit of taking over your life! (not in an 'addict' way but in a 'work' way).

If you fancy playing a few machines here and there and learning which to play and how (like most of the people on here of done) then by all means do it. Don't let it take over your life though otherwise, before you know it, you'll find yourself in a ridiculous location at stupid-o-clock in the morning chasing something to make a few quid (believe me, I've been there).

Anyone agree?

That is the most sensible advice Ive seen here yet from "changingstakecancelshold" There is little future in playing machines. Emptiers and tricks are likely to become rarer, as are hi techs.

I am now playing FOBTs 4 hours a day and making around £250 a week and I hate every second I am playing these horrible things. I used to play fruits till the early hours, when I should have been at home with my GF, whether you are winning or not, its still very time consuming and anti social and you miss out on a lot of other things.

Best advice yet "DONT BOTHER"

Machines are going to be random next year aren't they?? Basically the skill will be gone and you'll be left trying to find out emptiers, and 99% of people won't get into the loop so you'll be spending your life doing your nuts in machines waiting for the day you get some info that's useful for a couple of days.

Basically this is the worst time ever to consider starting playing.
