Broken machines
Played a Vamp it Up on Friday.
Had just won on jailbirds so and was about to leave but those Vamps are too tempting.
Seemed like it was playing and I eventually got Vamp it Up for flat £25
It then seemed to be going again. Anyway some of the lights were out and it meant when I had skill i couldn't see which one to stop it on.
I did eventually drop it again but it made me work hard. I had £25 on offer but rejected that to play for the Vamp it Up feature. I had add again and streak. I landed on skill and all I had to do was hit +1streak off skill but the light was out, as was that on the ?. Twice i hit the wrong one because there was no way of telling.
Thankfull I won all my money back but I reported it to the cashier who said she'd switch it off and report the machine. just wondered where you stand if you lose due to a broken machine? Is it tough luck?

if the lights on the buttons are out on bully for you, yabba etc and you get last lit then its hard work, if the music is'nt too loud and the sound is turned up on the machine you can do it, but if there is 2 lights not working its pot luck, and explaining it too the barmaid who could'nt care less is even harder.

Quite a while ago i had a vamp it up with the entire top section of lights broken.
Needless to say it was always flying, in fact often had 3 in it. Was pretty hard work though, you had to count how many shots you had already had, knowing it would always give jackpot before the 6 spins so 2nd from last. Actually had to set coins on the machine to count em up as while doing that you obviously had to remember where you are on the board, what bonuses you had.....
Lasted a good 2 months unfixed, still easy profit nowadays anyway, punters in there dont seem to have a clue what they're doing.

Remember finding a Powerball in a Sports Bar with the powerball missing. So you had to play to avoid getting powerball as otherwise the machine would just sit there waiting for the ball to drop into one of the slots. Of course the machine was very happy so kept giving powerball. Which then meant turning the machine off and waiting two minutes for a reset.
The other one was a DOND whose start button was stuck, this was back in the time when you could board a couple of times on 10p stake off £2 and get a couple of win stoppers to get £20. Problem was, it was set to 50p stake, so you'd put a quid in and manically bang the change stake to try to get to 10p stake before the credits ran out.
