Illegal?!

Post by no name »

Walked past a café the other day, and it had a £250 Club Pharoah's Gold in it, is this illegal? I have never seen a clubber in a café before, normally only old £5 machines like Homer's Meltdown/London Underground etc..

Its about as legal as driving a car without a licence or insurance.
They will not have a local authority (council) permit for a club machine, and no gaming machine licence for its use.

Yes that is illegal, as no cafe should have a AWP in it.

To be honest I'm not that fussed that it was there, but I've never seen a clubber in a café before. Bet it sees a JP once in a blue moon with its % most likeky screwed down to feck!

Not true at all... Any establishment can *apply* for a 250 license, the acts which were revised last year dont mean nothing, if its passed, its passed.

We have a 'cafe' around here, which sells 'tea' and 'coffee' and after 9pm, it sells alcohol, you wouldn't even tell it was a bar from outside, yet its got 4 AWPS...

If an establishment is frequented by minors then a Fruit machine with a JP higher than £5 is illegal. They can have a Clubber but under 18's would have to be banned from the premises.

Sorry Gaz, simply not true.

Take Rileys snooker club for example... and there is no 'under' age limit for CIU affiliated clubs...

Research is the key!
