just curious.
Basically the 'FLASH' nudge bar-x's in the mid 90's, over 2-3 years.
You could basically force the £10 bar run by avoiding x's whenever possible. You would then get a run of 4-8 bar wins, it seemed to do 4 first time, recycle, then 5, recycle then 6-8 on third time.
The recycling was £30-40, allowing for unstoppable x drop-ins.
going through the 3 cycles would usually empty all £80 from tubes.
Also when 'x' flashed for £2 with 2 bars on first reel, as machine ALWAYS gave 9 nudges, use all 9 to get 3 bars as 2 on third reel.
I made average £35 per machine, visiting them in about 5 arcades 2 per arcade, every other day. Didn't do a lot witht eh cash, it simply funded other play so i in effect played very cheaply or for free.
I estimate this made me 25-30k over 2-3 years.
Then came the bastard 15 quid rechips.

i have mentioned it on here before but i had a snake rattle n roll that worked for 6 weeks, must have made around 2k on it between me and my mate, never saw anyone else doing it and was always good for anywhere between £50-£100 in it every 2-3 days. had another 8 or 9 scattered about too but not for as long as that one, so i would estimate somewhere in the 4k region in total for me on this empty

Probably SRR for profit (simply cos there were so many of them), but for just one machine, defo King Kebab in a student pub in Belfast. It was there for at least 3 months and was constantly being played. I estimate I took about £100 at least twice a week - and even accounting for flinging some of it into the adjacent machine, must have made a packet. I once accidentally empited it, but they very helpfully came and refilled it the same day.
Last time I was in the pub, a few months ago, they had:
*Who dares spins
*That one which gives you spins instead of wins
*Dough ho ho
Hmph

a lot more than i made aswel had it for ages aswell, if i only knew the £4 board bit grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrStreakypoos wrote:I met a chappie who had made 40k on the Good one! good one! good one! good one! good one! good one! good one! etc That's a jackpot emptier.
That's far more than I made on that.
Unfortunate. I heard it could take ages for a board after a while. The £4 bit was fairly easy to work out for anyone who had 'played' Hill Billionaire.
I had this way back, but didn't realise what it was as when it starts with the killing every 3 and 10 I thought that was that. It took me a month and a half to actually work out the full impact of what I had and how to get around the 'dead end'. It pains me to think that I'd take about £50 profit back in March, get a couple of 50/50 death boards and walk. I only had the one location as well as it was a rarity back then. Well there was Birchanger Green as well, but that's a hell of a drive for me really.
It could take you round the houses for a while but a very sweet emptier none the less. I'm sure if left umplayed it would eventually recoup lost % by the vast number of £35 flat IMs. Even if the main was flying (add agains going up etc) and the machine was getting done it was a flat IM every time. Virgin ones would sometimes flash for more, but once it was done, it was grumpy. Like LOTR/CTL have 'overflow' streak pots, these have 'owing' money pots - made up by ropey IM streaks.
Then when I did the old Leicester run back in May, not expecting to find many...feckin' 'eck!!! Gold mine!!! Not to mention Drac Pack in Thomas's - beautiful. Leicester had never been so easy.
There was one pub with a WIYB, and a 4 reeler near to each other. If only I'd known the 4 reeler as well...
I STILL do not know why CYBTB has to play so rubbish. There is some 'anti-player' stuff in there. So bash on too quick and it's the old £90 in for f.a back for a cyclypoos £45 payback culminating in a £35 box game. This machine is adept at cycling you to % - COB it to death? Club it to death more like. You have to put £40 in just to get a 1p off COB. Dreadful.
