If that was directed at me, I was simply making a joke on where he said 'feel free to correct my spelling mistakes'.

That has got to be one of the funniest 'sentences' I have read in years! ;)

Steps back out... ;)

The kind of people who would USE the spell checker are the type who would spell correctly in the first place!! I think this type of forum DOES have the option somewhere though.

I never mentioned spelling but just hope all you guys have something to fall back on when there are no emptiers out there. Just because we've had a good "deal" in the last few months does not mean it will continue that way. The way it is going there will be no "classic" style macines soon, especially with IGT taking over the Barcrest group (whatever happened to them ?). They will probably introduce their "progressive jackpots" machines after getting through any political resistance. We have already seen great names like JPM, Ace, Maygay and others disappear which leaves crap like Bell Fruit and for the proper players Red Gaming and Extreme (also part of Barcrest)

ACE machines had programming flaws which enabled them to be easily emptied, ie Kung Fu. They were taken over by JPM who were owned by SEGA. There was a mangement buyout some time ago, but their portfolio consists of a few club machines and a couple more under the "Crystal" banner.

I agree almost entirely with PMK because I'm in a similar position.

If I could be bothered to go out travelling every day, ONLY play what I should, drink half-cokes in every pub and not eat out I could probably creep close to 4 figures a week.

However, most days I find it hard to be bothered, I hate going and playing by myself as I believe it can then be the most soul-destroying job on earth.

When I do go out, I like to have a few (too many) beers, nice bit of grub, cab home and play some silly 'munter' fruits for a board for the hell of it. This still yeilds a profit but maybe I'll take home about half as much as I could.

However, I don't care, I'm in this life to live it. I would rather be sociable, have nights out with my playing and non-playing mates and have enough money to get by. And I do.

I'm not currently working because I recently got laid off but will be starting again soon. My spare time will then be even more precious so I'm not going to spend it all on my own, driving hundreds of miles looking for fruits with a bit of value in them...to me, the extra money's simply not worth giving up the finer things in life.
