Got on the board after an eternity. then eventually I got add again and manged to add 3 cahs for the JP. already put £40 thus far though
Got on again and had streak. had add again but couldn't land on the streak for the life of me. ended up nudging the JPs in the winline and was hoping for superhold but it shot past it ended got wipeout and then didn't think it would go again so took streak fo £8 as had to get back to work
Crappy machine, in a dump of a pub with no decent machines and no atmposphere
With all due respect, you are dissing a truly great and playable machine(made by Barcrest)
No offense at all, but I sometimes wonder why people who clearly know nothing about machines are prepared to invest £40.
Add again on 3 cash to get pot? Sounds like it was flying to me, I'm sure if you researched the machine a bit more you could of made money instead of losing it.
For example, do you know the reels? Knowledge of no.s is hugely important. Do you know the safe squares? Do you know when its ready? So much more to learn my friend. SO much more.........
Ok feel free to disasgree with me I don't mind just tell me your reasons.
I took the £25 jp as it threw me off red I should have carried on for the MS but who knows it may have just killed me. Ended up £25 down but guess I can win back tonight on a jailbird
Greenbelt is a festival I go to, hence the name. I'm actually a blackbelt in Karate
Hey Greenbelter do you actually know how lucky you are to have VIU in a pub near you, last time I saw one in a pub was about 2 years ago, and if you thinks its a harsh m/c try playing one in an arcade
greenbelter wrote:So is anyone willing to share any good information with me? Just to help me play a little wiser. After all we all have to start somewhere.
It's on the emulator now, so practice until heart is content.
The method to play this properly is quite long.. and I don't feel like going through it. Perhaps someone else will be more generous with their time
It'd be worth learning though if it's going to be around for a while.
Mega Streak is NOT the top feature on this machine. There is a streak above Mega Streak called "Vamp It Up". This is the equivalent of Mega Streak and will award more than £25. Mega Streak usually awards around £15 and Super Streak is usually £8 but can be £7 or £9.
Never collect anything when on a red board. The reason for this is that when you land on a "wipeout" square, the board will NOT kill as you might suspect. Instead it will return the board to its blue state. Therefore, you should only ever collect something when the board is blue.
When on a red board and you are offered nudges and bonus nudges, use them to bring numbers in on the reels but LEAVE THEM ABOVE THE WIN LINE. This way, when you are wiped out and returned to the blue board, you will only need a small amount of nudges (which you may already have banked if the red board gave you loads!) to nudge the numbers in on the win line and increase the red trail. Also, if you have the "add again" bonus, i recommend keeping this as when the machine returns to the blue board it will turn into a "red boost" bonus. This, along with nudging numbers above the win line should enable you to return the red board almost immediately after you are kicked off it!
A bit of skill is needed as to when you use your bonus and nudges when on a blue board. Try and get the red trail to land on the bonus square. For example, you are on the 10th trail place and you have a red boost bonus and 3 nudges banked which can bring in a number 3 on the reels. Don't use your red boost, as this will more than likely avoid the bonus square. Instead, use your nudges to nudge in the 3 which will award the bonus. The bonus will then move the red trail up even further. Now use the red boost bonus which should take it all the way to red board entry square.
If you have a high number of nudges and don't know which reel to nudge (because you cant see any numbers on the symbols on the two lines above the win line) then holding the start button will move the reels down so you can see what is ahead. You will have to press the "Take Nudges" button first. If you do not want to take your nudges, pressing cancel will return them to the bank. (Except for bonus nudges which will be cancelled. Always use the start button to see which reel to nudge and always use your bonus nudges). Note that you will need more than 1 nudge for this to work as the machine thinks there is no need to move the reels down as you can see the next line with your own eyes! If you are in this situation, keep the 1 nudge banked until you are awarded more which will then activate the start button.
This machine will happily roll in multiple ? squares in a row. If you have just survived on a ? square, don't think you have a free spin. It could very well move you onto another one. This is often the case when you have just been wiped out from a red board. Your first spin back on the blue board will move you onto a ? for death a lot. (Unless you have an extra life). If you are not going for the force and have just been kicked off a red board and can't immediately get back on with your nudges/bonus, then consider collecting a pot (most probably the Streak pot) as there is a high chance that your next spin will result in death.
All of the super shots are not really worth taking. Even if it offers jackpot, then it not that far away from offering the Vamp It Up streak. (Also, it will always offer jackpot on the second to last shot. Usually 6 win spins is left.)
When you are awarded the "added extra" bonus from the BLUE trail bonus square, wait until you are offered a number that adds up to 9 as this will take you straight onto the red bonus square for hopefully a red board. (The added extra bonus displays two numbers on the display which change every few seconds. For example, "3 plus 3". This makes 6 and would move you 6 places up the trail. Remember that the first blue entry square is number 9 and you are on the 4th square so only press start when the total number displayed is 5 or more.)
I strongly recommend learning the position of the red board squares. This is because when you change from the blue board to the red board, you will be awarded whatever square you are on again. For example, if you are on the bottom +1 cash square of the blue board, this square on the red board is +1 streak. So if when you landed on this square on the blue board, it would increase the cash stack. If you then used red boost/nudges to start the red board, it would then automatically add +1 to your streak pot (giving Super Streak before you have even started). You therefore need to learn the red squares so that you know which squares are best to start the red board on and which are not. I basically recommend starting the red board on any of the +streak squares as the Vamp It Up streak should be your final goal.
The "Tutti Frutti" feature WHEN HOT can be a jackpot rip. This feature slowly lights up the 3 symbols on the win line one after another. The symbol that is lit up when you press the start button is the amount that you win. Therefore, if you are offered this feature on hot, use your nudges to bring a jackpot symbol (barcrest logo) onto the win line and then collect the feature. Its really easy to stop it on the jackpot symbol, even when your very, very drunk.
Very well said. Nice to see someone actually taking time to help someone else when needed without being pedantic or self-righteous. If I could also say if you can hold numbers to enter feature on 10th trail place or 11th trail place (i.e. being on 8th trail and ableto hold a 1 and a 2) always hold the 2 and the numberless reel. I always feel its a better start needing a 3 rather than a 2 for red bonus, and the jackpot symbols are closer to 3's aswell. The same with blue bonus, if it gives you selector take 10th trail place unless you are offered red bonus or 1/2 places off red board, sometimes less is more
With time you'll know wether the JP is on or not at the start when you see what numbers are close and when you start with a red boost. But saying VIU is a crap machine is sacrilage
VIU and clones where great money earners. There are plenty of previous topics of this fruit and you will find reading them will be beneficial. You will need to learn the reels, esp where the Jps are and the numbers. You can obtain JPs off SH, nearest win quite frequently and if it PAR, then your are extremely lucky. More than likely someone else is doing it though.
