Saw one of these dreaded Deal Or No Deal 4 reel machines for the first time last night. Knowing from posts on here that they are not worth the hassle i thought i would stay clear. However, with me being addicted to fruities i decided to put the £3 change from my beer in there but nothing else. It was a £25 jackpot but had two play settings: 3 reel spin for 20P or 4 reel spin for 30p + and extra 6%. This striked me as odd, as i expected it to be either 30p play for 3 reels and 50p for 4 reels + 6% or 20p for 3 reels and 30p for 4 reels but with no extra %.
Anyhoo, got a board with my £3 playing on 30p but was killed on 3rd spin. When finished it displayed its usual "Add 10p for play" as i had 20p remaining (which thinking about it logicaly, i must of put £4 in?). So i swapped to 20p play for my last credit which SHOULD have meant i had one spin. However, it only took 10p meaning i got two spins. I put a spare 50p in and carried on just to make sure and did indeed only take 10p for each spin. Now i know this sounds like a simple 'wrong label shown on glass' situation, but when you press the change game/stake button, the LED flashes up either "30p play plus extra 6%" or "20p play" depending on which one you switch to. So, if the LED says its 20p play, does the machine think its charged 10p as it does, or does it think its charged 20p and hence makes it emptyable?
