Morning All,
I have my driving test in 1 hr 30 minutes and am starting to get more and more worked up - thought i'd post something to keep me busy / entertained for a while!!!
I know we had the thread about how 50p play has been after a few months in operation. But a lot of perspectives are from people who force and regularly play machines - a lot of talk about getting machines buzzed up, how much more they can roll for etc.
But for the more casual players, how do people seem to be faring and what are peoples opinions? I mean for the players like me, who play with their change from a pint, or don't put more than £5 - £10 in a machine.
Personally, I absolutely hate them. They offer no entertainment value at all - I can buy a pint with a £5 note and my change has disappeared in literally less than 10 seconds! I reckon you could blitz a tenner through one in well under a minute, and that seems quite possible if you hit a red at the wrong time. On top of that, even if you do get a board on reds, they can sometimes throw you off so quickly that you still don't get much playing time for your money!
Anyone else got any thoughts on this? Personally I like my 10p / £5 machines, because I play them for the fun of it, but at least with 25p/£25 machines a fiver or a tenner will give you a bit of entertainment, with a couple of boards and that chance that you might hit a big win. 50p play just doesn't do it for me I'm afraid.
50p Play - Feedback from more casual players?

Thanks for asking - the bastards cancelled it because of 'fog'. There was fuck all about apart from patchy, very fine mist here and there. So I'll have to wait approximately 5 - 6 weeks for another test now.
The lazy arsed examiners would rather just sit in their office than go out and do any work - I know a ridiculous number of people that have had tests cancelled - its no wonder the waiting list is so long!! I mean, whats wrong with driving in fog - you're going to encounter those sorts of conditions when you pass anyway!! :x
