I do know that some pubs (usually 'free houses') may have their own persoanl machine(s).

I guess most opt for liesure link as they provide the whole package of changing machines, updating ROMs, fixing busted machines etc. This is opposed to having to get it all sorted yourself. Guess it's just 'easier'!

Yeah, I would presume the same, Weathers aren't gonna train someone and have them on call at every pub they own.

MV has it in one. They use them for the repair work and handymen etc. As you well know, they can break all the time, and time with machines off is lost profit!

My work (whitbread) have there machines from Gamestec and are 'alarmed' by Midas, from what i've heard you can't key a Midas because the alarm sounds, funny that because we refill our own machines daily and the key has been left in by acccident for hours at a time.

MIDAS doesnt mean they alarm when keyed. it depends on the settings of the individual location. MIDAS does a lot of things, read meters in realt time etc etc. SEtting an alarm when its keyed is one of the thing it can be set to do.

Midas was a big thing a few years ago,
me 4 one would never key a midas m/c
through fear of the alarm going off,
nowadays if they have a midas sticker on them i key
them and have never had a problem...
