I just watched the channel 4 documentary. Now before those of you who read this have nothing bettter to do but moan, ive decided to catorgorise this under fruit machines as the subject im writing about is the £1,000,000 higher jackpots.
Tessa Jowell thinks that raising the maximum jackpot from £4000 to £1,000,000 will not cause any raise in gambling addiction and will not affect working class of Britain. A government official claimed that under 1% of British people were addicted to gambling? I find this very hard to believe. Also they would like to bring all of the online gambling companies to come and host there servers in Britain, so that 100's of millions of money in revenue and tax can be taken by our government.
Will this affect normal fruit machines?? Do you think if the supercasino is granted in London and built within the Millenium Dome along with the upcoming smoking ban in pubs and clubs this will stop people from gambling in the pubs and venture towards new casinos where if your a member its a private club and you can smoke, 24 hour drink and gamble??
Whats your opinion on supercasinos with high jackpots and rows of XXX style machines?
Dispatches Labours Gambling Addiction!
Yeah i watched this aswell i think its a very bad idea as people will be more addicted to fruit machines than ever before, fruit machines are ment to be fun to play not playing them to loes your money as the jackpot is so high. Thats why the lottery is there only £1.
I wonder how much a is price per play going to be????

I think its a really bad idea, as newhamish said, it would just get more people addicted because of the stupidly massive prize that 'could' be won (which i doubt would ever pay out) and i would imagine it would cost no less than £10 a spin which is outrageous.
When i forst heard of the 'super casino' though i have to admit i was pretty excited but the more i think about it, the more i think its a bad idea
