Getting Bored?

Post by Matt Vinyl »

Anyone experienced this feeling before in relation to 'playing'? I remember even as recent as 6 months ago, I couldn't wait to get down the pub on a Friday and get a pint and get on the first Red of my rounds. Now though, I just don't get the same feeling... :(

I'll still play a few Reds on a Friday, but they are now so predictable there's hardly any 'gambling-rush' to it.

1. Walk up to machine.
2a. It's not ready - spend a fiver or so, try a different one.
2b. Ah, it's redding / showing.
3. £30 or so later, £75 out.
4. Go to 1.

I'm not in anyway saying I'd rather have heavy losses sometimes to 'keep me trying', but is it maybe similar to that old saying that 'all the fun is in the chase'?

I doubt I'll give up playing, as I do make quite a good profit most weekends, but other things are becoming far more important to me (as they should, if we're honest with ourselves!).

I'm enjoying life with my girlfriend, Christmas is on it's way, I want to get somewhere with my software development (games!) I want to get back in my home studio and start putting together 'good' music again. I want to write a book, I want to do loads of creative things!

Sorry, went off on a tangent there! ;)

Oh, and it doesn't help that my 'Bank' of Snailblazer has been replaced by some 'Cool Games' guff called 'Bucks Bunny' and my DNA has been reduced to a £5 pot. And one GADD has been replaced with a DOND II. :x :x

:)

Hmm, true, although I'm sure that's got to be part of the reason why some (if not most) of us play?

I play mainly because I enjoy the skill and thinking elements involved (probably why I like Reds and crests best!) in winning. Again, probably why I still don't like Extremes etc even though the setups are useful for a few quid.

I've found myself moving more and more to the SWP world, perhaps that'll keep me busy nfor a while... ;)

Agreed!

That Bucks Bunny is a really poor version of JTRR and clones. But getting the five 'bunny headsd' (fireballs on JTRR) doesn't give you big money...

...wait for it...

...It activates the repeat chance on the cashpot!!!

It is really poorly designed and has the 50p a go option which is 'numbers in view', which makes it a bugger to get a bonus etc.

Will def be steering clear of that one!

Played a cool games one ages ago
Called boulder cash or something
Had a blue and red trail like VIU AFU
Similar board as well
But played nothing like them

Red boosting and offering £7 straight away
Never went past £7 or super streak
After i went £110 in, yes £110
Decided to take something
Managed to claw back about £50
Not seen one since thank god

Shocking
