Multi-player gaming: enhancing the Cat C

Post by AMK »

There is on-going demand for community and multi-player style games in the AGC and bingo sector, according to Kevin Bottrill, sales representative for RLMS Sales.

Explaining the advantages of the community gaming platform, Bottrill said players relate to the product, which also gives operators a point of difference over the LBO product offering.

“The multi players give operators the opportunity to introduce a real sense of theatre into their venues and create that aesthetic ‘wow’ factor,” he told Coinslot. “We are fortunate to have the very best exponent of the multi-player format in Astra Games within our product portfolio. Astra have delivered to market within Bullion Bars and Party Time - the two most iconic titles in this genre, which gives the company a strong pedigree.”

Bottrill added: “We also now have Empire Games in the multi-player market and they currently have Gold Run in a three player upright and a sit down arena style out presently and both versions look stunning and are at a price point that makes them an attractive proposition for operators.

“Astra and Empire have products in the market place and in development in preparation for 2014 and the new prize level and we really believe that the Cat C community and multi-player market is going to be a growth area in 2014, as this sector has largely been neglected in recent years due to the focus given on B3 products.

“The current sited legacy multi-players are now showing the signs of age and although they have provided a good income stream they need to be refreshed to rejuvenate venues and players interest levels.”

Kind of agree with this. But I'm blaming the manufacturers. All their offerings are piss poor or cloned to death. Why on earth would an operator spend over £10k on a Gold Run, that

A. Isn't community based anyway
B. crashes on the top randomly
C. Deletes the bank when collecting randomly

I suppose we can't expect anything less now as Astra pretty much own everything on the lo tech front apart from 777.
