It's not just you fruit machine players that are suffering.

Try getting anything more than £50 on a 12/1+ shot in the bookmakers and you're turned away.

They shit themselves don't they? Even when it's casuals not your Jack McManuseseses. What's that all about? Multi million pound companies with diversified assets. I was going to have a cheeky £20k e/w on Oscar Time in the National, but they wouldn't entertain it.

I was in the bookies today actually, playing the Pure Pots game as it was dropping in jacks which is an excellent sign. I could hear on the commentary that a horse called Ruler of the World won his race. I hope Ruler of the World lumped on that one!

Why not put smaller amounts on in different bookies. It really is that easy. Id rather drive around bookies if I was making good money on horses.

Rather than dragging myself around pubs getting barred and arrested. Or finding dead machines, that's if you find any playable's at all.

You have it easy.

I agree,

Your method of income can not be traced hence no one would want to know you in terms of housing, finance, banking etc

At least a genuine racing punter like myself has his bets recorded even offline which can be proved if I were ever questioned by HMRC.

Racing has been accepted as a methodical, logical and acceptable form of making an income for centuries.

The idea of going around playing fruit machines wouldn't appeal to me even if there were fancy numbers to be made, it's a dirty living.

I know physiological needs are the first point in the hierarchy of needs so there are no hard feelings about why you choose fruit machines as a method of putting bread on your table and the roof over your head and it’s far more socially acceptable than engaging in criminal activities.

The point I was alluding to in reference to “dirty living” was in relation to the hard graft required to keep on top of things consistently in what is essentially an underground living that is deprived of social acceptance and it’s this feeling of deprivation from society that drives you fruit machine players further to gain a form of acknowledgement.

For me, if some of you put this hunger, fight and determination into education I have no doubt that you’d be revelling in an honest and prosperous careers.

fair point

i used to have no regrets about my chosen profession ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, but when you walk round kensington looking to make 20quid on a fruit ,,,,,,,, you cant help but fantasise about the 6million pound houses and lifestyles etc,,,,,,,,,,,,, and wish you had knuckled down at school etc and chose another path

nobody is making 6million on fruitys

All is still well ob. Lost a few machines and spent a night checking last night and was just a bit down because I only found a Flicky with Notey off.

Off out on a route now which involves a lot of miles and is usually a good earner.

Still money to be made.
