Id say they'd probably get at least as good if not better value on one if those than a deal or no deal equivalent that is much more likely to be miles off phoning.
The appeal is to do one board, hope to spawn a DOND game, and deal £15-£20. The problem is that if you don't get that game and you put £20 in you'll be very lucky to get that money back, never mind win some money*. It doesn't take long for casuals to realise that "no-one ever wins on that one" so they don't play it.
At least on deals they'll see the jackpot every now and then. Obviously depends which deal. A casual would be better with an Alice than a mist, but most deals play fair for casuals I reckon. They'll get the jackpot every now and then and that's what encourages them to play it and keep playing it if they lose.
