Yes Linesman's 'equation' appears to lack key ingredients, such as constant factors. In an ever evolving scene it is impossible to equate the longevity of such a thing.BFK wrote:Sir Linesman? A few questions if you please?
How can your put friends 'equation' to good use when:-
You don't how many of said machines are sited in the UK.
You don't how many people(reliably) are on it.
There would be some people that take longer than others.
Difficulty level? Surely that depends on the players ability? Unless of course it's super easy.
You're right, there would be an awful lot of estimations!!!
But another great post, nonetheless.
Every site needs a 'courtyard jester' or similar character. Liesman fills this void nicely.
I always found them good for a raise, and the clone, but then I was only about 12 when those games were around. I do have fond memories of them though. Saw one for sale recently, can't remember the name of it, but it was the one where instead of having a trail that went up from 1 to 8, it went upto about half a million. May have been grand prix or something similar.oldskool wrote:could shoguns be done? i could only get about £20 up on them?
I think the original one was spector, then shogun was the next clone, then some kung-fu one. Gods they bring back memories of when arcades were fun !Mr McStreak wrote:I always found them good for a raise, and the clone, but then I was only about 12 when those games were around. "If only there were evil people somewhere insidiously committing evil deeds, and it were necessary only to separate them from the rest of us and destroy them. But the line dividing good and evil cuts through the heart of every human being. And who is willing to destroy a piece of his own heart?"
