I was referring to the players reactions Flotch.
In case you hadn't noticed its perfectly normal for fans to celebrate goals. More wildly so if it's late on and a goal that gives you still a very good chance of winning the premiership. Hence the players reaction too.
But the carling cup is a tournament that most championship sides couldn't give a fuck about until the later rounds. A lot of premier league sides see it as an annoyance these days.
But as I said earlier, it's still a trophy and Mr Dalglish wanted to win it from the off. But the extra pointless games next season will damage them next year when they try to improve and finish in the top 4.
