Discipline in your lifestyle is very important as you say, I was more refering to discipline in terms of actual machine playing discipline, like knowing when to leave things and not taking on dead games, not slotting your profit in 500's etc., these are basics that are learnt early as a player.

You have to be disciplined with your lifestyle to save money, but that's just being a good player in the game of life, not being a good fruity pro.

Look at it like this Lee....

Discipline is the safe way to success in life, but you will only reach a certain level of success from it. There is a ceiling to the earnings hard work and a disciplined lifestyle will bring you.

Initiative is the riskier route to success in life, but you can get very rich very quick if you are lucky and smart. If you are very lucky, with a little work you can set yourself up for life.

It all comes down to aspirations, what you want from life and all that. I envy you Lee, because you are very proud and happy with what you have achieved. I have also achieved a lot from hard work and a sort of disciplined lifestyle, but I'm not happy enough with it. I want so much more from my life. I want the Bentley, the yacht in Marbella, many huge houses, various girlfriends in different countries that I rotate between seasonally and a butler called Jeeves to attend to my every wish.

People might think I'm a dreamer, but talk to me in a few more years, I have tasted the lifestyle of the super rich and I like it. It will be mine.

Well written reply there dark horse. If you aspire to grandeur this really isnt the game to do it in though - although it can certainly set you up with starting capital.

Personally Im easuly pleased all I want from life is a nice easy carefree lifestyle with no money worries and for that purpose professional gambling fits the bill nicely at the moment although there us no garentee in years to come! If that comes Ive got a fair few quid anyhow!

As for discipline yes its important although as everyone that knows me knows I like the occasional punt., thankfully they normally work out although thats pure luck in many cases - in my book if you enjoy punting or as I say munting then so long as you arent doing it too much its not really gonna hurt your bottom line! Infact Id say I was well up from punting, you can verify that JG eh ;-)

its all about what your happy with ,,,,,,,,,,,,your both right,, if you want to be a multimillionaire , this defo isnt the game to be in.


but if like me your content cuddled up on the sofa with a good woman watching a movie with a takeaway , safe in the knowledge that lifes little bills are at bay , and that my family etc are all healthy with food in their belly, lol. thats all i really care about bottom line.


of course i would like to be super rich ,,,,,,,,,,,,,, but i wouldn't want to risk what ive got to get there.

besides , ive not the brain power to get there either lol.


im content and generally a happy sole ,,,,,,,,,, thats good enough for me.
