When we say luck, we commonly think of anyone who's name starts with Ma and ends in tt, but is this entirely fair?

I'm not sure it is. After an extensive and highly intrusive study into this matter, I can conclude that there is a scientific measurement that is appropriate for measuring luck on AWP.

Basically the unit of measurement is an OB.

If you have 1 OB of OB as your measurement of luck, then count yer self blessed as you are inceredibly lucky.

Here are a few FC members and their luck ratings, feel free to correct me if I'm wildly out. A negative OB rating indicates poor luck, 0 indicates average luck and any positive reading is good luck. You cannot have a reasing higher than 1, it is impossible to have that much luck without getting swallowed into a black hole of spawny cash.

OB = 1 OBs of luck
Matt Vinyl = 0.86 OBs
Istenem = 0.75 OBs
Trayhop = 0.42 OBs
JG = 0.13 OBs
Streakseims = 0.99 OBs
Captain Tattybojangles = 0.10 OBs
Poker Pete = 0.01 OBs

Maverick = - 0.42 OBs
Jeff Vickers = - 0.75 OBs
PMK = - 0.56 OBs
Degeneration = -0.38 OBs

Lol I aint happy at my luck rating, there is no way Im luckier than any one else on that list, sir ratholer gets my luckiest rating, as where I have had fuck all reds as a proportion repeat, he gets loads, and he has a knack of coincidentally not finding stuff that is done, alive!!!!

JG u are up there with ur luck on 500 machines

mattviynl u deseve a shout with ur bellfruit luck

Also as a final shout has to be buddylove on 500s, although I hasten to add all his videos show only the positive side of his results, and we are clueless as to the negative.....

Also ricky you get some MAD luck too, along with croydon tony, who gets a shout out too, not that he frequents this board!

Very well, we will lower your luck rating as I've factored roulette into it, although you are in no position to talk about luck on £500s atm, so I will reduce your rating and increase mine, as although recently I've had a couple of touches and a nasty loss, it all boils down to pennies up.

So my new rating is 0.14 OBs

and your new rating is 0.64 OBs

Jeff, you only lost a day's takings on QPS's abominable Bank job, which is reasonably lucky, so I shall boost your luck to -0.22 OBs.

I live in one of the top 10% of countries, and then in one of the top 10% of counties, so that's a great one in a hundred start. More money then sense, I consider myself about a 0.95 OB.

Heh, I've only played one machine (STC) in the last two or three weeks, been v. busy with work and other social aspects.

Looking back, I have had some ridiculous luck on DONDs, with GATWs popping up after a few quid in here and there. Catching them just right, the best being the most recent, which resulted in a £70CP from £3 in from a Slash or Trussed.

As we all have though, have had some horrendous spells, mainly a good few years ago now, involving erm, getting involved in non captain-discipline approved forces.

Have only ever touched a £500er about 4 times, with a maximum input of £10. I just don't like the thought of non-progression at all...

Have a bit of time off later this week, so will no doubt dabble about, see if I can live up to my OB-rating...

I can't believe my rating is so high!!

I made a 3 sheet over the weekend but if I'd had just half the luck of ur average FC'er I would expect that figure to he easily doubled no problem.

I have no luck what so ever......EVER!!

I've no doubt other players would have caved and lost their temper on so many occasions if they'd had to put up with sone of the bad luck I've had to put up with.

I got some rare pub machine luck today. Cluedo 70 off as per usual when I attempt to play one but... £2 in Mega Streak £150.

Ur the only person I've ever seen get 'invincible board next' from a big brother 'big brother says' bonus!!

Also once I'm sure u also got 'this board will be reel magic ready' upon feature entry!!

That was Clacton arcades in the good old days! Did used to get some unbelievable things happen there.

I don't have nearly as much luck now in pubs.

I remember once puttin £1 in a magic sevens on Yarmouth seafront for two sevens which held for the £25 and then held for the £50. That was about 8 years ago tho. Nothing since tho.
