Fruiting Dictionary

Post by Captain.Tattybojangles »

Well you got cockney rhyming slang etc etc...but there are enough terms that us players and gamblers all use when on the machines to start a whole dictionary I bet!
So how many do we have and what are they? From simple name shortages to whole different terms, no abbreviations though (CCP) etc. There's even terms for those services with a bridge, but I forgot them
I know there's a thread about fruiting words that's quite old, and I can't find it.

Stopper/Dial=DOND What's in your box
"The Game"=Deal or No Deal game
Corn on the cob=cash or bust, as well as things like cobbed/cob it etc
Redding=showing lots of red features, also counts for boxes on certain DONDs
Numbering=Number reel spinning in lots of easy numbers on normal play
Bubble cab=horizon cabinet
Keying/fobbing=using refill key/fob

This is only the start though, there are far more but how many?

whilst a lot of us use the term ''numbering'' ,,,,,,,, some use ''showing'' or ''spinning'' ,,,,,, fair enough .

down south , players use the term ''value'' for all of the above and more .

if you say , it wasn't numbering ,,,,,,,,,, they say ,,,,,,,, what ? its got no value ?

or , did it have any value ? etc .

a lot of you use the term burnt ,,,,,,, it started down south , but has migrated everywhere now. ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, i personally use ''battered'' or "on its arse''

dialect ,,,,,,,, its a funny thing.
