setting machines up for the false signs
hi all.
was having a chat with a mate of mine a few weeks back who does the curcuits in Birmingham.
we were talking generally about machines and i was asking how he tends to play most often.
he was saying that if the machines permits it he tends to leave a "fake" sign at the end of streaking a machine..
meaning say he took a £50 top from a RED and the usual £5-10 afters maybe offered that he would leave the machine in the hope that another player would come along and get sucked into this and before long (espec on a red) would be so far in that would have to carry on to get anything back or if lucky will have put enough in to get it back to a reforceable point and then can be played again....he said that in larger places you would be surprised how good this can be as more and more people are started to be able to tell when a machine is dead as hell and will just avoid it.
granted it wont work all the time just does anyone every try this or is a just a case of draining the machine for as much as you can when you can..
personally ive never tried it like this and unsure if it would work here as the play cycles are not regular enough i dont think so wouldnt be ready much quicker than normal (week or so)
cheers

No chance of me doing that one mate. I'll take the machine for everything it'll give me. I'm patient (and i consider myself not addicted enough) to leave it long enough before i go back and hit it again, so it doesn't bother me. In fact in all my years of playing, i've never done this before. Nor will i be starting to now

"Sixty percent of the time, it works, every time!"
Yesterday just after i took £70 out of Grand Blaster Cash, some little chavvy smackhead scumbag wondered into the pub ordered a j2o, and changed a £10 note for a fiver and 5 ones, (even though there was a note changer on the bandit)
Anyway this lad was obviously a few lemons short of a super-hold, or a couple of nudges short of a hidden feature and he ploughed about £40 straight into the machine without hardly even getting a feature entry, it was really obvious as dead as a dodo!!
To cut a long story short as long as their are chavvy idiots playing the machines then there isnt really any need to purposely leave machines in any particulour state as someone is always prepared to load them up for us "more experienced" players!!

thats a good set of replys there guys..cheers for that..
i have to say ive always done the same and it does seem risky to leave a machine with some value still left in it..maybe if you are 100% that the poeple who will play them will fall for it...but how can you do that...
anyways i think i agree and wil stick to removing what i can from them.

Most players would key it anyway to see how light it is. As said some people will play anything regardless of what state it is in. You might aswell milk all the value you can as chances are you won't be playing in there again for a few days in which time it will have filled back up anyway.
Where in Birmigham does he play if you don't mind me asking?
