With all the ramblings of the above post, I think it's YOU who needs to get a grip mate.

You sound like a desperate bookie-addict who's just done the last of his giro.

Britains maladies.

Generations of people who "won't work" propped up by a terrible benefits culture whereby they have a comfortable existence by sitting on their arse, committing low level crime and taking no responsibilty for their actions and bringing up kids with the same attitude.

Shambles of a justice system whereby the obvious answer is to build more jails to house crooks. They get let off time and again only to inflict more misery on others.

Shambles of an education system where the teachers can not dicsipline unruly kids, so a disruptive element can ruin it for people that want to learn. Result. 16 year olds who leave school without basic literary skills to
get a job in MacDonalds and no aspiration to better themselves.

Uncontrolled immigration whereby the UK's policy of safe haven for refugees is abused by economic migrants working in the black economy for illegal wages in a twilight existence who don't contribute to society and swathes of undesirables from the poorer EC states who just sit around doing nothing all day costing our welfare system billions of pounds a year.

Creation of an underclass who have no self respect, no community responsibility who waste their lives in a haze of booze and drug abuse.

Billions wasted on quangos, illegal wars and sending money to despotic third world countries.

I am sure that nearly all professional fruit machine players pay their way and are not abusing the benfits sytem. There can't be more than a few thousand players in the country.
Roulette free since December 2011.

in certain circumstances for certain people , i will agree with you cannonball .

for some it's a necessity .

but for me it would be rude to claim .

besides , the hassle of filling in job search forms and having to come up with new and inventive ways to falsify your job log , + standing in line with druggys + having to be there at say for example 10.30 am ,,,,,,,, which would ruin my planned travel slotting day etc ,,,, not to mention the overhanging threat of them sending you on a full time course etc .

sorry not worth 50quid a week to me.

there's a can of ethical worms opening here too.

Has anyone ever been hassled by the taxman if they DON'T sign on? if you have managed to pay your rent/mortgage and bills etc yet you don't claim a penny, if they see you have a tidy sum of money banked up whats the worst that could happen? They may think your a dealer or something else making your money??? thoughts?

So you have never had letters asking what you've been doing? I've received a few!
