First casualty of the £70's

Post by MrRed »

That's it for me my time is done
I had played a lot less since my daughter was born 2 year ago
Now it's time to quit
Many different reasons and the introduction of these new £70's has finally made my mind up for me

Literally checked over 100 m/c's within distance of me to find nearly all are £70's and just one red
90% are DOND's and clones
The rest poor crests
There is no money there for me anymore
Also I have lost interest
Would rather do summat with my family than bother any more
Plus I work now so time is limited anyhow
Will still be around to see how your all getting on
Good luck and to those who are doing very well make the most of it

I have played my last quid

Yup don't disappear ... I've really enjoyed your honest posts over the last few years. Sounds like you've made a perfectly rational decision though, and with a youngster in tow - life takes a different path.

Bling, what is that picture? Funny stuff!

Red: Good decision mate and I don't think you'll be the only one. I'm in a similar situation - little one born 17 months ago - more important to spend time with him and the rest of the family.

Hope you still visit here though, even if it's just for the debate... :)

Good luck, but I can't help thinking you're over-reacting to short term variance in 100 pubs...my area is something in the region to 2000-2500 pubs which probably have an average of 2 machines per pub and it's commonplace for me to check 100-200 pubs in a day and find very little, if anything, playable.

I don't blame you mate, I cut right back towards the end of last year, there's only so much you can take when it comes to wasted journeys.
I use to go at least twice a week but now it's more like twice a month, when you've got kids (And i've got me 4th on the way) it's hard to justify to yourself spending say 2 hours walking round a town only to find nothing playable compared to spending 2 hours with them, at least if your playing fruits and earning money to give them the nicer things in life it feels worth it.
