To return to an earlier point in this discursive thread,I have still only seen one machine with 'new' Pub Quiz on.Have other members found many machines with it on? Also, any sign of an updated Hangman's Saloon? I haven't really go much interest in either game, but I am thinking that if Phase one of ...

Depends on how you look at it. For me it's just a signpost to show how close/far away the game is from being JP-able.

Based in the Midlands so can usually do most cities in a day....been as far as Newcastle (once) but for regular trips usually stop at Leeds and Preston in the North and Bristol and Reading in the South. Again I've been once to Southampton but there wasn't much there and it was a few years ago now. ...

Visiting other towns/cities

When people do this do they ever stop and take a break? I often think about it but am usually in too much of a hurry to find the next pub/machine. In the past it was easier as there was more guaranteed money to be made and I used to stay in b&b's or whatever affording more time. When all the Spo...

I think you're spot on there, paragoon.Millionaire and Deal or no Deal made a big impression with the general public, and quiz machine versions of those were subsequently successful.Pointless is not perhaps quite in their league (I am talking solely in terms of popularity here),but again, has made a s...

There's an interesting update on the games warehouse site. Got the air of a Hail Mary to it but interesting anyway. http://gwhl.co.uk/index.php?Company=News&Subject=June2015 "Those who think that we at GW have given up trying anything new on Paragon need to prepare themselves for their wak...

Maybe it's just me but I don't think the latest TV quiz shows are particularly iconic in the way DOND or Pointless are.
Or even WWTBAM. Could be the end of a 'golden era' of heavyweight TV quiz shows? I suppose Tipping Point is the latest one that's stuck but it does nothing for me.

Pointless on Gamesnet - win the Head to Head and the screen freezes. Anyone else encountered this new and thoroughly irritating glitch or is it just a one off designed to harsh my mellow? PS yes I did try turning it off and on again. I know of two machines where this happens. In both cases you just...

On Pop Quiz: one of my best subjects is pop music,so I thought I would have a go at learning the questions on Pop Quiz.I'd learnt a few,and had won the occasional fiver and tenner,so all going well, until I was first confronted by the dreaded '?'.I gave up the idea of learning the questions immediat...

Great idea but let's face it - when Pointless is getting plays off a 60p JP there's not a cat in hell's chance of them risking a £20 JP never mind a £40 one. It amazes me that most games dont get sued for false advertising. One of the worst culprits is Pop Quiz. Get on there at the wrong time and af...

How many different questions are in the game do you know? Do the questions get updated every so often? A few years ago they updated the game and added a load of extremely hard categories like Neil Young songs (without any of the famous ones!) or Welsh towns. They lopped off an extra life too. Origi...

Eliminator is a game that I really should have worked on. I did get started on memorising a few categories but soon lost interest as I thought the game might get taken off in the near future. About 3 or 4 years later and surprisingly the game is still on the majority of gameswarehouses etc. I had a...
