I might get some opposition by saying this, but I strongly feel that the original Bellfruit Crazy Chair (£70 version) is my favourite Deal machine. I found that the Gamestec one was a let down in comparison. If Spoons want to be 3 years out of date, should have got the Bellfruit version back :-)

I agree with those praising the £70 era. I've had a lot of fun with these as a casual. £25 was my most faved though, and funnily enough £15 being my least favourite.

To the OP - I think it's another year before we see £100 cat C.

Wow, that's harsh. I've had a few unexpected low(ish) IOUs in £2-£15 region, never a problem in Silvers (arcade chain).

I understand enough by reading this forum that a flicker isn't the same as a flash, but what exactly is it? (or quiggle if people prefer me to use that word). Is it a particular group of lamps behind the decal that flickers, and how long does it flicker for? Does it indicate invincible, or is it a c...

Ahh my bad. I never realised that there were numerous versions of Reel King. I just know the one on Skyvegas and the ones in my arcade are almost identical. The only differences in the arcade version is that some of them are dual-screen with reels on both screens, rather like a Nintendo DS and you s...

Ahhh right. It's the Skyvegas version that I'm writing about, same one as in the arcades. As well as a visual win depicted by reels, you have the audible cue (ding-ding-ding...) running as a separate thread and bears no relation to the reels.

One king on Reel King goes for £50

I play this a lot on demo and occasionally for real. Now when 1 king pops out on the purple carpet, I've always understood the streak to go somewhere between £5 and £25. And I know that the more kings you get, the more exponential they become. Today however, a single king went for £50, and it was in...

I've not seen any spelling mistakes, but I've come across a few it's vs its. Like when a streak ends on Gaming Media machines e.g. Juggling Jackpots, the alpha will display Thats your lot! (instead of that's).

Progressive pots on Reel King? When did that get introduced? I know that Rainbow Riches have them though. Congrats anyway :D

Jackpot-wise, £15 was my least fave, £35 was ok, £70 I actually quite like, although it's more luck-orientated for me. £25 was the definitely the best for me, or 2002-6 with most of the Vivids in that year range. Although I quite like the earlier range of DOND machines 2006-8, I resent Barcrest's ta...

I agree with the multistake jackpot idea. I would make the stake:win ratio 1:100, therefore 10p/£10, 25p/£25, 50p/£50, £1/£100. Then the play style stays largely the same.
