Most I ever saw a fellow punter win was about 2000GBP on a William Hill FOBT. He was on roulette, played six numbers only (19 - 25 I think), and basically covered them with 10GBP on each number full on, with lots of splits and corners and stuff. He was outlaying about 150 or 200GBP per spin. Most ti...

reserve pot

Most of these games with a progressive meter do operate "reserve pots" in the background. A meter with a max (say 350GBP) will stop at that figure and pay that out when it hits. In the background, a reserve pot builds. So one day that reserve pot might only have a few quid in it, another i...

To my mind, the best ever tip about FOBT's is actually THIS ONE: "Don't play these rigged devices. Run for the hills!!!! NEVER insert money." I had occasional SMALL wins on the FOBTs when I used to play them, but never anything I would consider worthy of publication. I used to get VERY str...

snappy viper

I'm possibly interested in buying an old Barcrest Snappy Viper machine, in working order. Feel free to get in touch.

I'm sure another member of these forums has made a few posts about these - and the fact that they prefer them over the 35GBP versions. I expect they have a similar payout cycle, but possibly a higher percentage?

What do other players think of these 70 payout games?

Higher payouts for higher stakes makes sense to me. Years ago I worked in a RAL arcade (for a few months, in between jobs), and certainly our machines were at set percentages, with the higher denomination machines getting a higher payback. If I recall the percentages back then were around: 78% - 5p ...

Casino 5 liner - uggh. My own experiences with this machine are similar to the others here - except I once got 50GBP out for a tenner in. And I once got 40GBP back for 50GBP in... so possibly better stats than some have achieved. Like other players, I don't rate this machine well. Give me a high hit...

snappy viper

When I was younger my favourite Barcrest game was Snappy Viper. It was based on a snakes and ladders theme, was 10p per play, with a top prize of 3GBP. Does anyone know of any UK arcades where this game can still be played - and / or know if parts are still available for it if I should happen to fin...

Betfair zero roulette is not a live wheel. You could try liveroulette.com. There are also links in my blog to sites like Totesport and Littlewoods and others. Some (not all) of these have live wheels available within the interface. See my non existent sig, that's been removed 'cause i'm a spam freak...

Well done to you, that's a great turnaround. Just goes to prove that slots really are random devices, and that you can win on any spin. They have to be by law (unlike fruit machines which have FIXED payout percentages and can really screw you senseless). Excellent news on your win! With luck like th...

fobt avoid

Those bookie FOBT's are more than scary enough for most. Real live casino wheels are more likely to be legit - however, it's easier to stake a lot more on them. So discipline and bankroll are both important factors to think about here. If you can control yourself in an environment designed to take y...

discipline

The key to winning on these promos is DISCIPLINE. Take their free cash, then AVOID the temptation to deposit any of your own money should you lose their stake. Let's face it: if you only lose their money, you've lost nothing at all. Why risk your own cash? If you want to risk your own cash, then at ...

Sorry guys, I placed it as a legitimate post that I felt others would benefit from. It is a way to play the games without visiting the arcade - and it's the only way for any international players to play the games they grew to love in the UK. Spam was not my intention. If the posting has caused offe...
