Not so much excitement as surprisement (one of my word soup favourites). Simply because I wasn't even aware it could award a cash prize on the bonus, and I haven't seen a quizzer do that for years!

Old thread alert! Played Pub Quiz last night on a Gamesnet. After the first round it awarded the bonus, so eyes left for "Add pass" and "Add cheat" - but no, sat there at the top left was "Cash prize £2.00" Didn't even know it could do that! Not seen a cash prize off a ...

Casual quizzer input: I just played The Chase on a Wetherspoons quiz machine. A decent quiz game, seems fair most of the time. In fact, I enjoyed it enough that I played it a second time. Two games was a lengthy and enjoyable run for my money, especially as I managed to take down both Hegerty and th...

Is it like Eggheads (i.e. top prize of £20.10)? What is the highest seen? On a random wander around yesterday I found an old quiz machine with the likes of secret letter and a few other older games on there. Eggheads was there with a pot of £20.10 and I came within a single question of winning it o...

I posted that over 3 months ago! £100s hadn't been out that long and I'd not seen a single repeat on anything. I thought it was unusual as well, but there's not a lot you can do about it if it doesn't go!!

Sorry about the thread title , fat fingers / mr magoo short-sightedness / posting whilst using mobile phone , strikes again . My apparent illiteracy makes me a prime candidate for an occupation as a collector, an occupation I spend much of my time berating! I thought you meant Gianluigi was working...

How much for an offside 50p? I've got one of those, but think I'm probably going to keep it in case there's a bird about when the footy is on.

Where is this mythical worse place in the country? It's East of the West coast, West of the East coast. Its a little way from Littlehampton, North of Southampton, but South of Northampton. Nowhere near Wolverhampton. In town there's a spoons by the fork in the road. That pretty much gives it away!

Well what did I start with this?! It was none of the locations mentioned, and is just another place in England that has plenty of capable players covering the area. On reflection, I think I was probably a little quick to bemoan my bad luck. After all, you make your own luck in this game. My tip of t...

Worst part of the country to play?

I think I've found it. Pretty much everything within a 20 mile radius has MS / £100 / £70 in the box, and / or is completely battered. Either a run of ridiculous bad luck, or some really meticulous players?
