My view of ATEI 2008

Well , I just got back from 2 exhausting days at ATEI, so I am ready to give my opinion on this years show. Slots players , your days are numbered, there was very little new on offer in the HI-TECH awp range, in fact I would say that this sector will be finished by next year and every pub chain will...

I have never paid for a drink there yet , and that includes champagne and cocktails. If you are a genuine industry person and know a few people already, you will have a free roll alcohol wise, not to mention an invite to an after show party. I am meeting upwith a friend there this year who is looking...

Its tough playing to win on fruits , FOBTS, or indeed any gambling. I agree, Its all about discipline , knowing when to walk away, the ability to handle bad days , which can and will happen , without chasing your losses. And having limits and acheivable targets and not just running round playing wil...

Showing my age here but I can remember

"all wins over £1 will be paid in tokens" on machines

I would love to have an old JPM nudge double up or lite a nudge, the original version , not the shitty remake

That is truely shocking Anfield, There is absolutely zero evidence against you, the CPS will kick it out straight away, but even so its a disgrace what you have been put through.

9.20 Kempton tip

Hi,

Just been given a tip from an old pal who works at the racecourse for WHAXXAR in this race.

Thought Id post it here at risk of getting laughed at when its beaten out of sight.

Ive just suck £50 EW on it so it better place at least...

Though it maybe legal, that is certainly not in the spirit of the regulations.

And arcades complain that players behave shadily with their methods and emptiers but beleive its perfectly acceptable to abuse loopholes in current regulations to their advantage.

bit hypocritcal I think.....

banking large amounts of cash

I have quite a significant amount of cash to bank, the accumulation of a few months winnings.

How much can you deposit cash before the bank starts asking awkward questions?

I dont want them to think I am a drug dealer or something!

When I worked for bookies, I used to phone Leisure Link for machine changes and ask them what machines they could offer, and was usually given a choice of 3 or 4 , the machines were banded , depending on how new they were, so it had to be machine in the same band. So you couldnt choose as such, but ...

true costs

Sorry Jimbo but your figures are somewhat warped, the cost of a license for a catagory B2 FOBT is £1800 a year, in addition there is vat of 17 1/2% of gross profits payable. The figure you quote is wrong , it is an annual figure not a weekly one, in addition of course the shop must rent the machine ...

william hill payouts

I had £400 to pick up at Will Hills yesterday, I went in at 8.05pm to collect and was told that they only had £300 in the shop, and the other £3 grand was locked in the safe on a time lock and took 30 mins to open. Not to happy, but I say ok I will pop back at 8.30pm and pick up then, I was then tol...

I do fancy the Chelsea / Arsenal game to be a tight low goals game maybe 1-0 or 1-1.

I post this at risk of being mocked when the score is like 5-3 or something.

Good luck though Harry

Where do you get the figure of £1450 per machine per week from, this was certainly not the case when I was running FOBTS, we paid tax on Gross profits and rental of around £100 per month for the machine, now things may have changed as I left the industry some years ago. At the time my FOBTS were eac...
