Modern coin mechs are rarely fixable, although a good clean often does them good. You can get a replacement one fairly cheaply though.

ok got hold of a barcrest king kebab machine the other day and its showing the fault 17- 83 pound opto blocked tamper . You can easily test glass by gently dropping it on the floor. If it smashes, it's probably glass.

Your original post did make it sound a lot like you were expecting the seller to drop it off, and then allow you to pay in installments over months.
