Almost as hated as the GATSO , one down only 5000+ units to go. Looking forward to the ingenious methods that are applied to the GATSO'S being applied to ITBOXES , such as chainsaw attacks , putting a tyre over it and setting light to it and the driving of JCB's through the door of pubs to flatten t...

entente cordiale?

Matt B , graduate based in Cambridge . Sir Ernest , graduate based in Cambridge. I would hate it if another pro was based where I live. How do you cope both being based in a town as tiny as Cambridge. Is it cosy chats around a log fire exchanging stories about Word Up adventures or this town aint big...

interesting the cleudo blunder.Used to happen a lot on the original Cleudos. I believe they reprogrammed the later Cleudo to cover up their mistakes and stitch up the player as the machine stopped saying who did it , where and with what.

I have to agree with Mr Satis. The enjoyment I get from playing a machine is linked directly to how much money I can get out of it. Of course good graphics and ideas help , but they are secondary. Also the speed with which you get a decent win is important. Slow machines are excruciating machines to ...

I have got total respect for the Word Up elite. It takes a lot of skill , fast reactions and a excellent knowledge of words. However, if you dont or havent the ability to play it (as in my case) I dont find a conversation based around it interesting , although there are plenty of people who do.

There was a guy from Birmingham who was featured on BBC Breakfast Time years ago who gave his job up & toured the country via the railway network.I bumped into him in a pub called Sovereigns in Woking. I offer an apology to him 10yrs late. I was wrong , you were right concerning the old Monopoly...

very good posts particularly from Mr Satis. My income comes in cycles depending on what is on the machines.Yes the machines are pretty rubbish nowadays but I made a lot of money in the early 90's from the simply programmed games like Time Machine , which could not protect itself against further jack...

At least Fotherz will support the pro's if the taxman ever changed his attitude on quiz machines. I summon Fotherz for the the defence ' They are not in real jobs'.You mean they have fictitious jobs?.Yes!.Case dismissed.

I am in total agreement with unknownpsedonym. There is a perception that playing machines is a lonely activity , that is a perception and not a fact. Everybody is different and anyway every day IS different being out on the road. You can not put a value on freedom . I left my job in 1990 without any...

If Mr Trotters observations were true there would not be more quiz machines than ever . I understand how a game is ruined for a while when a pro wins the jackpot , but that goes for anybody winning the jackpot . Thats why I operate on a 3 month cycle visiting a site 4 times a year . Hardly excessive...

I always object when a punter says Ive got a photographic memory. Its as if they are suggesting they I remember things without effort. The only people I know who have photographic memories are a small number of people who suffer from a type of autism that gives them a brilliant memory but totally f#...

for somebody who is not old enough to play machines you have a lot of opinions. God knows what you will be like when you are a grown up. Pro machine players are not parasites they are just more intelligent and more dedicated than the bulk of the quiz machine playing population (ability to play machi...
