If it's Epoch then you will have trouble fixing it. It's poor quality surface mount shite. Very difficult to replace components. If you can get a Mark 2 PSU circuit board then that should sort the problem, it was a much better design than the first one. Also if you can trace the fault to the transfo...

From memory, these use a 3-volt rechargeable Lithium coin type cell which has 3 integral legs, these are soldered through the circuit board.
You can just see it under the right hand edge of the metal plate.

How proficient are you at soldering?

Might be some interest on the Mecca, not sure though as I can never remember which version people want.
