My knowlege of geography is vastly inferior to my (poor) knowlege of films, so I'm just going by 70's films where the main character dies at the end.

*spoiler alert*

The Godfather
The Life of Brian
The Exorcist
The Wicker Man

Did he build a computer that wrote fiction?

I'm mainly grabbing at potential clues in your Q's wordage but I do remember reading* a while back about someone doing or trying to do such a thing.

*Although I may have read said article in a dream or a drunken stupour and have completely fabricated it.

So that's when I played it, it was the one that was linked to from here a while back, thank you for stopping the niggling voice in my head that was questioning where and when I had played it before. I agree that WUs appeal to both joe schmo and johnny wordgame comes more from the game structure than...

I've played it once (make of that what you will with regards to how I rate it). The first couple of rounds did seem to be seconds counting down, along the lines of it started at 20 seconds counted down (showing seconds, tenths and hundredths of a second) the clock dissapeared around 15 seconds remai...

Are your pans safely out of harms way Istenem? I saw a new BigFizz game on one Itbox last night called StringIt (I think, I was certainly called string something). It's a word game similar to Word(So)up but no diagonal linking allowed, I'd guess there is about twice as many letters in the grid compa...

I tried out all 3 dealers, apart from the graphic I didn't notice any differences.

I think the timing game is called 'right on time', I don't recall seeing it on any machines before but I could well be mistaken.

skill blackjack: Unless I was missing a key tactic this seemed very harsh, dealer gets 21 all four player hands get knocked out, game over. This is without going into the disadvantage of not being able to double down or split cards. I didn't try spot the ball, my pouskanonphobia prevented me. The co...

Not in game censorship, but on a hi score list my entry of 'so close' (I had missed a prize by one point) was replaced by a 'standard name' entry. No idea why though.

I assume the makers have an aversion to dice games, as craps is not accepted.

I've only been playing a lot for about a year, but I'd agree that pickings have been comparatively slim the last month or two. On the whole 'money goes in money comes out' topic, perhaps the increase in choice of games per cabinet is spreading the punter pound thinly across a wider number of games, ...

Hmm the only one I tend to remember was sisyphus who was condemned to spend eternity pushing a boulder up a hill for his crime of imprisoning death.

I'll take a stab in the dark at his punishment was to be turned into a mortal.

http://gameknot.com

You have to create an account but it's free. Standard games are set with a 2 or 3 days allowed per move, but obviously if you are online at the same time as your opponent then you can play as quickly as you like.

I'm registered as civ77 there if anyone fancies a game.
